This is a list of planned changes for the next version of Twilight.

General

  • Attribute reduction can no longer reduce attributes to below half their base value
  • [Bugfix] Fixed Goblin Laboratories' Reveal hotkey

AI

  • [Bugfix] Wasn't hiring mercenaries to defend
  • [Bugfix] Wasn't targetting units with higher kill priorities
  • [Bugfix] Multi-cast spells (ie R.I.P.tide) would get canceled before they began, producing unpredictable results

Acid Reaver

  • Changed his spell animation timings to make him more responsive (but it might look weird)
  • [Textfix] Caustic Breath's damage text wasn't reflecting the actual damage done
  • Dragonfear
    • Units now have a higher chance (up to 100%) to be feared based on the closeness to the casting direction and the distance from bane
    • Base range reduced, now scales with strength
    • Cooldown increased to 30 seconds from 26
    • Mana cost increased to 80 from 59
    • New Talent: Feeds on Fear, each enemy affected restores health
  • Acid Sheath
    • Cooldown increased to 60 second base, decreasing with level, from 9 seconds
    • Mana cost increased
    • Duration decreased to 15 seconds from 60
    • Corroded weapon is now a flat rate of 85% across all levels, but duration increases with level
    • Damage from being attacked removed
    • Damage per second greatly increased
    • Damage is now Strength based instead of Intelligence
    • Damage range increased
  • Charge
    • Now can target a unit or a point on the ground
    • Now knocks back enemies hit along his path
    • Now grants an aura granting attack and movement speed for a short period, equivalent in strength to Encouragement
    • Cooldown decreased to 15 seconds from 22
  • New Spell: Impale, replacing Encouragement
    • Tosses a spear in a line, impaling all units hit. When it reaches the end, it yanks all affected units back to the hero.
  • Storm of Malice
    • Maximum armor loss increased
    • Armor Loss rate doubled
    • Duration reduced to 30 seconds from 45
    • Damage increased by roughly 30%
    • Pool of Acid talent now works from units killed by Acid Sheath

Arboreal Crusader

  • Gale base damage increased by 25
  • New skill: Geomancy, replaces Nature's Balance
    • Grants different abilities, depending on what tile the hero is standing on
  • New skill: Force of Nature, replaces Mana Surge
    • Summons a giant wisp that charges at the nearest enemy. When it hits an enemy, there is an explosion dealing damage and knocking back the units and the wisp.

Arcane Mistress

  • Aura of Undeath has become Necromancy
    • Passive remains the same
    • New active skill: Raise
      • Summons 6 Skeleton Warriors at targetted location
    • Skeleton Warriors
      • Collision size reduced
      • Now have magic immunity
  • Black Arrow has become Necroarchy
    • Previous Black Arrow effective is now passive
      • Explosions and damage bonus are now Intelligence based
      • Black Arrow explosions now trigger chain explosions in all units hit under the debuff's effect, but clearing the debuff
    • New active skill: Necrotic Shot
      • Steals life and reducing healing received
  • Mind Fog
    • Now lasts 50 seconds across all levels
    • Casting range reduced to 300 from 400
    • Size is now equal across all levels, slightly smaller than its prior level 1 size (250 from 300)
    • Cooldown and mana cost now decrease with level
  • Haunt may now be cast on heroes and units for different effects
    • Casting on heroes will have ghosts randomly appear and charge at that hero, dealing damage if they hit
    • Casting on units will summon wraiths similar to the Wraith talent when used on buildings
    • Casting on buildings retains its previous effects
      • Damage per second is now 12 across all levels
    • New talent: Spectral Assault

Colossus

Dread Shaman

  • Mass Regeneration
    • [Bugfix] Wasn't properly removing injuries on the initial cast
  • Expunge redesigned
    • Duration of the root/slow is now stat dependant
    • No longer dispels
    • Now displaces a percentage of the target's mana around the target, which will slowly float back into the target but may be picked up by enemy heroes
  • New spell: Voodoo Doll, replaces Shared Pain
    • Creates a Voodoo Doll of targeted unit. Damage done to the doll will be propagated to the target and reduces the target's attributes randomly
  • Twist of Fate
    • Mana cost reduced
    • Away time increased to 8 seconds from 4
    • Duration increased
    • Cooldown reduced
  • Totemic Mastery
    • Fire Nova Totem
      • May now be cast at range
      • Damage area increased

Elder Treant

Grim Hag

  • Raptor
    • Passive evasion reduced to 10% from 20%
    • Now grants 40% evasion while moving
    • Cooldown reduced to 45 seconds from 120
    • Duration reduced to 15 seconds from 20
    • Life steal increased to 75% from 40%
  • Swoop
    • Will now automatically turn to aim at the targetted unit, if any
    • Can now target any point on the ground, if so it will hit the first hero she comes into contact with
    • You may now change directions mid flight by right clicking a new target, or stop with stop or hold position
    • Swoop's duration is now time limited instead of range limited
    • Mana cost decreased
    • Cooldown increased to 30 seconds from 22 seconds
  • Blade Rain
    • No longer channeled
    • Now does its damage through a bleed effect on units hit by blade rain
    • New talent: Blood Tears
  • New Spell: Featherfall (replaces Backlash)
    • Channeling spell that stuns enemies
    • The graphic is a placeholder and quite un-featherlike
  • New Spell: Killing Fields
    • Summons 1 talon per enemy in targeted area that is stunned, bleeding, or below 50% health
      • Talons randomly cast their own version of swoop
    • Passive: Killing Spree - consecutive hits against the same target gives an increasing chance to critically hit
      • If the hero kills the target, the charges will be transfered to the next target
  • Chaos Rift cooldown reduced to 90 seconds from 180
