A bunch of ideas DarnYak thinks of and forgets the next day.

Mode

Mercenary

  • players can switch sides
  • may happen with player kills
  • team objective has to be determined

The Third Team

  • Not necessarily something like those triangle AoS but more of a concept of another team having a different objective to fulfill pitted against the standard two teams

1v1 AoS

  • control multiple heroes that have an AI and guide them
    • ex: Rue start doing something productive for once move to this lane, DW stop hanging around top go save that ob tower
  • the AI would have shared unit control with the player
  • selecting a hero temporarily disables the AI and gives the player control
  • have control over items and hero upgrades

Heroes

The Meat Shield For Spawns

  • attempts to take damage for spawns, defying most people's expectations about AoS
  • Options
    • heal all spawn damage within X seconds
    • can ignore up to X% of their max health of spawn damage within Y seconds
    • yuck higher base armor yuck
    • armor type that takes reduced damage from non-heroes (not including towers or special stuff)

Spell

Teleportation Effects

  • intercepting the teleport and making the affected go to the caster
  • sending a package like mines with the teleport
  • probably implemented in the form of talents

Stalking Shadow - leaving behind a shadow/tail with stuff

  • speed bonus to the caster
  • harassing enemies with immobilize/explosion at end/direct damage
  • could be cast on both allies on enemies (stun?)
