Includes all changes since version 1.16

General

  • Energy is now a team wide resource
    • Maximum energy is now 150% of your average team hero level
  • Generators
    • Death of a generator will now make the energy it used unavailable for 5 minutes
      • This does not apply to a generator killing itself
    • Scrapping a generator now requires 10 seconds, up from 5
    • Removed the Replenishment Generator
    • New Generators: Mending, Mana
    • Devastation Generator renamed to Attack Generator
      • Attack type changed to Magic from Piercing
      • Range increased to 800 from 500
      • Armor increased to 10 from 0
      • Armor type changed to Fortified from Medium
      • Energy use increased to 10 from 7
    • Execution Generator renamed to Shock Generator
      • Damage bonus with mana removed
      • Range reduced to 600 from 800
      • Attack has been slowed down and increased in damage
      • Lightning graphic effect added to the attack
      • Energy use increased to 12 from 10
  • Ethereal status now increases magical effects by 25%, down from 67%
    • Related spells have been adjusted upwards accordingly
  • [Bugfix] Attunement perk now works within the first 60 seconds of gameplay

Commands

  • New HCL option 'P' reverts energy to the previous personal energy system

Battlefields

Kedge's Landing

  • Moontears
    • Now displays how far along the process of charging is
    • Can no longer be traded or dropped (except on death)
    • Holding a moontear now increases damage taken, increasing over time
    • Dying while holding a moontear awards no bounty or crystal and a quicker revive time
    • Units picking up a moontear will be instantly killed
    • A message is now displayed when one is completed
    • [Bugfix] Tower cores gained scaling was incorrect

Verdant Falls

  • After a shrine battle each team's tower cores gained is displayed

Heroes

  • Heroes with secondary magic attacks have had their attacks changed to be identical to their primary attack
  • Hero starting attributes and gains per level have been adjusted to be closer to even across all heroes.

    • Damage reduction increased
    • Cooldown reduced to 10 seconds from 12

Soul Binder

  • [Bugfix] Soulstrike when cast by the hero would only deal its base damage

Time Cleric

  • Fork clones will no longer pick up the Moontear

United Creeps

Dread Shaman

  • Mass Regeneration no longer uses standard buffs
    • Talent Voodoo Vengeance removed

Icespinner

  • Ice Lance cooldown reduced to 15 from 17

Grim Brigade

Defiler

  • Pestilence
    • Is now considered single target damage against heroes
    • Cooldown now decreases with level
    • Base cooldown increased to 10 seconds from 9

Emberwraith

  • Pyroclasm
    • Cooldown now decreases with level
    • Base cooldown reduced to 20 seconds from 26
    • Mana cost increased
  • Cinderfury cooldown increased to 15 seconds from 14

Incarnation

  • [Bugfix] Dark Altar will no longer provide healing when the hero is dead
  • [Bugfix] Gravebind's Expose talent was functioning on units around the hero instead of the target

Putrid Eidolon

  • Wilting cooldown reduced to 15 seconds from 19
  • Entangling Seed cooldown reduced to 20 seconds from 22

Mercenaries

Wretched Chef

  • Slice's cooldown now decreases with level

Units

United Creeps

  • [Bugfix] Furblog's Growl upgrade no longer affects heroes

Grim Brigade

  • [Bugfix] Tormented Spirit's Ignite upgrade no longer affects heroes

Items

Equipment

  • All Armor pieces and Gloves now give either health or strength
  • New item property: Fragile - item is destroyed when the hero dies
  • Angelstone has been renamed to Sacred Writ and is now an Offhand
  • Robe of Resistance's armor has been reduced
  • Leather Armor's armor and attack speed now scale normally
  • Adjudicator's Coif's experience bonus reduced to 20% from 50%
  • Felskin Gauntlents' active effect has been replaced with passively causing attacks to increase magic damage taken
  • New Orbs: Runebreaker, Abysswalker's Beacon, Menderstone, Harnessed Potential, Orb of Falling Ash, Tombstone
  • New Armor: Dragonsteel Cuirass
  • New Offhands: Talisman of Dying Memories, Alabaster Scepter
  • New Gloves: Bloodsoaked Gauntlets, Dueling Bracers, Wallcrackers
