Re: Xmas games
The idea of the skill is to make the units run away so you can move through or quit being stuck. I also think one is intended to pick and choose certain talents to mold the hero in the way he/she desires.

Re: Xmas games
But 99% of the talents dont change something about the hero but just add something that is useful in every situation it applys.
Gravels shards dont block you due to low collision and can tank + deal damage.
Gargs dive heals more.
DW loses less mana.
Rue's forts turn into fountains.
Fear is just not supposed to be used when you want to aoe nuke something, because the skill is meant to make stuff run away. And a toggle is just overkill for the one moment per game when you are low on hp so you cant tank for 4 seconds, Ember is near you and ready to channel his AoE but in the next 3 seconds your outpost will die.

Re: Xmas games
Let's barbNeuroscience proves that a soul can not exist and that your personality and memory only exists inside your brain.
When neurones are damaged or destroyed people often lose memories sometimes themselves entirely, if enough damage is done you no longer hold memories at all, if a soul existed and was the little 'you' inside your head, then damage to your brain would not affect your memories and personality at all.
Thermodynamics proves that a soul can not exist.
If something exists, in it's most basic form it is energy, no exceptions.
Souls are said to be eternal, the third law of thermodynamics means that nothing is eternal, as everything, every proton in the universe, eventually dissipates in to nothingness. If a soul exists it is energy, therefore if a soul exists it can not be eternal. You could go on to say, okay then a soul exists but just isn't eternal, wrong. For a soul to contain 'you' it would have to have cohesion and it would have to have boundaries, there is not a single force other than 'magic' that would stop all the protons and electrons making up your 'soul' from flying off into the universe.
Also a soul can not 'transcend' to anything beyond what you see before you. The universe is a closed system, nothing gets in, and theoretically nothing gets out. It is hypothetically possible to leave via the edge of the universe but leaving the universe in any state, including you as a soul, would mean you would simply cease to exist.
Common sense proves that a soul can not exist.
Common sense proves a soul can not exist.
In this argument I am allowing a soul to exist, and magic to hold it together.
Simply put, something that can not produce any energy (a mass of protons and electrons) and consumes energy (conscious thought, holding yourself together through magic force) can not exist for very long at all as it would simply use itself up very quickly.
Since breaking thermodynamics would cause infinite friction, and since the universe has not yet exploded in a fireball I conclude a soul can not exist.
Why even today people insist on following a belief made up in the bronze age to explain conscious thought bewilders me. Death fearing cry babies are the bane of mankind and have done nothing but propagate hatred, stagnation and bigotry.

Re: Xmas games
Gravity can't truly be proven.
You can say, this is a ball, it will fall, this is a ball of greater mass, it will fall faster. And you can do as much as label that attribute as gravity, however you can't necessarily prove what the phenomenon is.
There are other forces that have similar properties to what we know as gravity, like magnetism, and centrifugal force and so on. Not to mention we haven't discovered what dark matter is, or if there even is dark matter, if not then there's error somewhere.
From Fire, Water, Air, and Earth, to the elemental table, to sub atomic particles... We stillz has a long way to goz!

Except that everything falls with the same speed, ignoring air resistance.GeneralFunk wrote:You can say, this is a ball, it will fall, this is a ball of greater mass, it will fall faster.

except that 2 massive objects attract each other quicker than a massive object and a small object.
ie. binary stars anyone?

Re: Xmas games
not an actual seperate force. nothing like gravity. combination of known forces that are nothing like gravity.and centrifugal force
