Although they're still a dying species, just have slightly less degenerated clones.

But what if Darth Vader steals the flux compensator and builds a new death star with it?

Then the asgard will beam all the troops off of it and into the vacuum, while they send the death star on a collision course with that black hole that is named "The Death Star." It shoots out a death ray destroying everything in it's path(Look it up).
