When 1.11 becomes public...

#26 Post by Unrest »

Wait a second... I just thought of something. When 1.11 is released, where will it be attached? Is there going to be a new topic, a new thread, a new something that we can count on making it fairly obvious?

...or are we to just check the clan site? ...or another host?

Thanks,

Unrest

No, there wont be!

Its a giant conspiracy, to hide it from you, were going to make a post, in the most obscure hidden post.

Once its released, the fun really begins, you have to find it!

Clues are at the end of Eota:Maze and Exodus on Hard!.

We're going to put it in the depths of the DotA forum!

*Opens Exodus in single-player, types in 'whosyourdaddy', and waits for an hour*

It's got loopholes.
"L4D2 promises to set a new benchmark for co-op games. . ." Like L4D promised to hand us new maps, survivors, and zombies? We've seen how that works.

Is there a rough date for T7? Like in 1 week or 2 weeks? I am tired of all those bugs and lag and leaks in T6, so I am kind of interested.

It was supposed to be done Sunday/Monday. Yak said this btw

Then, by "accident" Yak found Dwarf Fortress, played it 40hours straight, was gone for 3 days, showed up for 30mins and hasent been seen since. :P

So... maybe this sunday/monday? :)

Must..keep..digging..

I also got unexpectedly sick on wed, and working on EotA when I feel miserable would just produce lots of hard to find bugs. So I did more of this instead...which carried into thursday and friday. Damnit, I've almost reached my goal yet its taking forever.

http://www.bay12games.com/dwarves/ if anyone wants to try it. Its in ascii, but its extremely good. i also recommend http://dwarf.lendemaindeveille.com/index.php/Main_Page as starting it without lots of help is a giant pain in the ass.

Godamnit Yak. I know someone like a week ago mentioned Dwarf Fortress to me. Personally, I'll stick with Dungeon Keeper.

It can be pretty much fun when you know what to do... and where to find stuff. Took me an hour to find out how to create a tunnel :/.

Its a great game for a while once you get past the ascii. However, once you figure out a few other things it becomes too easy. A good farming setup provides more then enough food, attacks from inside seem infrequent and extremely wimpy. Dealing with the poor ai starts becoming the prevailing trouble (yes dwarves, go haul shit from across the map rather then using that rock 2 feet away). And injured dwarves inevitably go insane, attack/kill other people, and anyone injured by them will eventualy repeat the process, and its impossible to make them happy while their wounded. And if an insane dwarf doesnt cause the injury, a guard will hurt themself while sparring. Despite all this, its still very fun. Once its out of alpha it should be so much better.
