That screen where it says "Press esc to cancel cinematic." does not accept esc from every player, just one (seemingly random?) player. So, anybody who went to get a drink or whatever during the long loading time of the map, could potentially cause everyone else to view the cinematic... and furthermore not even know that they need to press esc, because they never had to before or were not paying attention during the instructions.
At least in 1.12c and below
It requires half or more of players to hit escape - DarnYak

Oh god I hate you
I was just about to remove this since yak posted in the other original thread I posted in (didn't think he would since it was marked fixed).
But now I will leave it up so people can enjoy you making fun of me

I am Turketron. I have come here from the year 9595 to play this game that lies before you, for it is the great, great, great, great grandfather of BotA, the map that's destined to lead the revolution against the master chicken race.
Caution: This is why I'm hot.

Clan EotA jokes may be simple, crass, and extremely vulgar, but they always make sense.
This one does not.

I think it's a reference from Aqua Teen Hunger Force.

I also watch it sober and have noticed no side effects or afflictions! Yet
