Eve of the Apocalypse: Twilight

To make this short: There's a map contest going that includes wc3 maps, and I've entered EotA into it. To get past the first round and into the judging round, it needs as many downloads and votes as it can get. To do so, goto http://www.gameflood.com/Mashup/Index.cfm?intMapID=580 , and be sure to both download and vote for EotA. It must be within the next week though, as it ends on July 16th.

How to download: Download link is right below the description (they made me cut out a bunch of shit, 1000 character limit is lame). Then select Traditional Self Install rather then the other content manager crap. Well, unless you really want to install the other thing, I dont think it'll hurt anything.

I really appreciate anyone who does this. I've put many, many hours into EotA and it would be really nice to receive something for a change, and this should only take a moment of your time.

For bonus points, feel free to bump this thread to make sure everyone reads this ;P

I assume you had to download a program to download the map? Where did you get it?

edit: For some reason it kept giving me the link their program uses until I tried doing it in Firefox. Figures.

Strange, I had no problems in IE, and when I subsequently tried to look at the page to get a screenshot after the download link it just kept sending me the raw file

If you're talking about the scoring, its not listed yet, I assume becuase its only updated at set intervals (daily at midnight i assume)

If you're talking about the normal lists, its under Games/Warcraft 3, at the very end of the list (by default its sorted by popularity...so newest games are always in back...kinda dumb imo. However, we're at the top of highest rated, due to being the only map with more votes then downloads =P)

I'm looking at the top 25 for the category, and it looks like the threshold for the top 10 is pretty low (it appears that D-DAY Coop has a rather large army of fans). It goes to the judges anyway, as long as we're in the top 10, so now we just need to begin our campaign of bribery and blackmail against them (kidding! [maybe]).

This is largely why I'm even attempting to win this contest. Looks like its a new site using the contest for publicity, so to get into the top 10 its not much competition. Unless some major maps like DotA wake up and try to get people to flood it, at which point i'm screwed ;P

DotA wont get people to vote there and they wont download from there since they dont get to see their precious changelog that they get from getdota.com.

uh jamn... dota is alreardy in the top 10 the last time i looked...
