Unit Counters

I usually find it hard to counter certain units, specifically goblins and stuff. Can anyone help me out with a list of unit counters?

What type of goblins? Counter to goblin tanks would be Catapults and more tanks. Because tanks will attack the tanks leaving the catapult to bomb the crap out of the enemy tank.

Cats > Clocks, I think... splash hits most of them, and thats it (maybe)
Air > Shredders...

Shredders > casters, weak melee masses (e.g. arach/druid summons)
Clocks > casters, meatwall (suicide)

Correct me if I'm wrong (hey, havent played for some months, and even before I prefered leaving this stuff to others)

Counter Melee with Casters.
Counter Air with Range.
Counter Siege with Air.
Counter Casters with Siege.
Counter Druids/Satyrs/UD unique(???) with Siege/Melee/???

Counter melee with casters
Counter air with a blend of archer and caster
Counter siege with melee
Counter preists/trickers/lost soul with archers
Counter druids with archers or goblin tanks
Counter shadowdancers with most units
Counter gasts with any goblin tower
Counter goblin tanks with seige

  While it does seem like a nice counter that seige can't attack air, while air can attack seige, but really it's overrated, it may as well be that neither can attack each other, since Warcraft 3's or I should say Blizzard's attack priority goes to anything that can attack it. Meaning all ranged units must be eliminated for them to even attack their seige. ^_^

I'm fairly certain archers are countered by melee. But another unit I'm having trouble with are those buyable "units-in-a-can" that combined with a support character is a threat that I havent figured out how to counter. This really messes me up in the early game.

Air is not the counter to shredders since they go right over them since they are magic immune if I remember right.

Shredders are mechanical, but not magic immune. Some spells hit mechanical, others don't.
Dont do dragons also have a normal attack?
I could be remebering wrong, but I think that attack is specificly restricted to buildings.

How do you counter the "item-units" like the plague army or sludge items. I find it powerful when combined with a support hero at the beginning.

Dispells own Serpent Wards/Plague Skeletons.

Sludges are affected by Dispell but its not as strong on them, AoE is a good bet against the smaller versions, since the last 2 splits are un-dispellable.

Sea Elementals are midling affected by dispells.

Yay, my unit entries are being put to use! ^_^

Actually, all of the air Tower Spawns have normal damage type for their second attack, and same with the basic casters.

Note: I finally entered the Undead mercinaries, also added and entered goblin+murloc spawn tower units. So feel free to use those for debate. ^_^
