Ok so I got bored the last few days and started to redo the web page from scratch. I have a basic look and layout already up for review at the main web page, just click the "new eota web page" link in the test link area at the bottom of the link menu on the left.

So review and criticize please.

It's a nice changce from the other webpage, and a use for the test links! Although the background is a little weird, maybe you should use the same color scheme from the forums for consistancy.

Looks better than the old one, the background needs a change though.

yeah im working on a better background, prolly will end up going with just a straight purpleish-blue like this background in here, then change the fonts to be appropriate.

On another note, make sure ya check back often becuase i will prolly be changing it up quite a bit over the next week or 2 as suggestions come in and what not.

Got a new background and changed the layout of the hero pages a little bit. also updated the home page to fit better with the rest of the site.

Looks nice so far...

Umm...

a) takes long to load... well, we cant change that for now.
b) sometimes it seems a bit empty... the background and the fonts work together perfectly, but it is... empty.
c) How will the BG-color work with some pictures we might add (e.g. in guides)
d) All the guides from the forge are lost, right (apart from the ones already on the page)? Too bad... so for now I would disable all of the links that don't lead to a guide, and recolor them, so that people dont waste time on them. Apart from that, get some of the more enthusiastic players to write short skill descriptions, build suggestions and short gameplay-advises for as many heroes as possible, replacing a "full" guide. That way the page wont seem empty.

Dunno... :-/

It's spelled "Heroes", not "Heros" :D

yeah spell checker didnt like the spelling of heroes though lol it changed them all to heros for some gay reason, i gota check into that. right now the pages are just up to show the functionality of the new layout and color schemes. I will continue to add data as it comes in to me or as i create it. i will need help on this front most likely from the clan members.

Special note on the hero pages.
I am going to change what the hero pages are on the current web page, the new web page will have hero stats, what they gain in stats per level, and what their skills are at their lvls, and leave the guides for the forums.

an example would be the divine wizzard, what his stats are at lvl 1, and how much his stats increase at each lvl. also the stts of all his skills at each of their lvl with a description of the skill.

Divine Wizzard - Character Name
Character description from the character select screen

Lvl 1 Stats
Health: 210
Mana: 425
Strength: 10 increases by .8 for each lvl
Agility: 15 incrases by .5 for each lvl
Inteligence:25 increases by 2 each lvl

Empower
Increases allied units spell dmg and atk dmg for a period of time
Lvl 1: 10% for 6 seconds
Lvl2: 15% for 7 seconds
and so on and so forth for all the skills.

guides and things change with stratagies and time, but skills and stats stay the same, so my goal with the web page is the make it mostly static information and have the forums for the more volitile information.
