Fiend's Skull Storm

Does anybody know if the the Blackguard's Fiend's Skull Storm is affected by any attributes?
The fact that the Fiend is basically a second hero makes him a very useful unit to have around. With enough money, you can make him into a pretty decent tank, plus he uses the items abilities (I saw him use Glacial Wall, the one which freezes the caster and makes them invulnerable).
That's why I'd like to know about his Skull Storm, and whether or not it can be upgraded via his attributes.
