Chance I could win, yes. However, seeing as the only real test games I gotin were extremely small and in a still very early version, I have no idea if it's actualy any fun to play. On top of that, several features were cut due to the time constraint. On top of that, its pretty vague if WoW imports are allowed or not so it may get disqualified just cause I imported a few things to make it look nicer.Tehw00tz wrote:If it's a contest doesn't that mean you could win something, did you win?
So I have no idea yet =P
And I dont believe there's any reason I can't upload it here

I dont see any reason for it not to win, I played it and was amazed in the first 2 minutes. With the going into buildings thing, and all of the enviremental effects such as the corspes(or pinyatas or w/e they were) hanging from trees. The only problem I saw is if you are the necromancer, they have no idea where the house and the cage is, maybe you should also add an introduction video, kinda like the one for EotA explaining what is happening and what you must do.DarnYak wrote:Chance I could win, yes. So winners were released here, and no I didn't win, or even get an honorable mention.
My only comment is I want several weeks of my free time back, what a fucking waste.
I highly recommend trying the candy wizards map there though.

I bet your map just lacked some explanations what the goal is and what you can do. An overview over all possible jobs and such things.

1.It was incompleteStealthOfKing wrote:I was really disappointed by the winning maps. The Candy Wizards was atleast a bit different but it was poorly implemented and not easy to control. Did you get any comments back from Blizzard Yak? Would be interesting to see what governed the other maps to be better than yours...
2.It was kinda hard to understand the objective of being the Embaumer
3.Not even giving it an honorable mention was just poor judging, I played the other submissions and they weren't as fun. But my view is biased to say the least.
4.Anybody see that Twilight Zone where the guy was driving in his car with his friend who has cancer. Then he wakes up the next day and does what he normally does and by the end of the episode he finds out that he is dead and his friend is still alive? Hecklers Haunted House was a lot more confusing.
5.Maybe Blizzard will have a Christmass contest.

The sports contest maps were more or less good judged, but the halloween winners are partly an insult for every serious mapper.
