Dead Space on Stormwail

I think I've finally tripped across an idea for some of the empty space on the sides of Stormwail. Bases used to be there, and this idea would bring those bases back. However, these bases would not initially be active. Instead, they'll become active once your team loses a base, and set to automatically reinforce the lost base. This will give teams a one base freebie for making comebacks more probable, but I am a bit concerned it could drag out games. Then again, this is the last version, so why not experiment?

REALLY interested to see how this goes. I think it will add at least another half hour to the game length!

I think it's an interesting mechanic, but I haven't played Stormwail with real people yet. :\
The base itself is pretty easy to take down when you get to it since there aren't reinforcements.

It delays main base defense by a small amount of time, which sounds like what you had intended it to do.

Most of the Stormwail games I remember end before a base gets destroyed because a destroyed base generally means that the enemy team has a distinct advantage.
I think the reinforcement base would be mainly useful in close games. They also have a niche use of letting a player hire a merc wave to mess with the enemy's ob tower.
