Eve of the Apocalypse: Twilight

I was just curious which characters people disliked playing, either due to dissatisfaction with the character, or due to being underpowered compared to others. Feel free to note that distinction in your post.

I can have fun with all of them. Thats why I random unless I know I play against a really really good team.

Yeah i'm with Dek on this one, but I random only about a fourth of the time since usually come up with a little mini challenge for myself and then pick a hero accordingly. The other fourth I work backwards.

Mostly agree with Dekar, though:

Tanks are by far my favorite class, and I usually shun the ranged heros (particularly the archer types). Melee DPS heros come in second probably.

Need some loving imo, either revamps, tweaks or just stuff to make them more appealing. As it stands, I refuse to play Dryad, unless I'm feeling courageous and stack agil/AS instead of the usual int build.

I'd prefer to have as many votes as possible, especially by as many people as possible, so we can identify the few that are consistently disliked.

Then maybe we can come up with creative ideas to improve un-loved heroes.

I decided to vote for AC, because Gale I remember to deal rather low damage and Tangleweed as her only other offensive skill is effective but boring and easy to counter.
But I havent play her for a long time, so I dont know how exact my memory is.

Having so many votes available skew the results, I would think five are enough to decide this.

Personally, the hero I dread ending up with when going Random is the Emberwraith.

Why's that?

He's slow, and Pyroclasm (which is also somewhat short-ranged) and Corona can be interrupted. His other skills are no doubt mightily useful, but not so if you are in the truly sad situation when no team members decide to cooperate with the Emberwraith, in which case he can't hold his own.

There is no doubt that he works wonders when teamed up with hero killers, though. I personally think the Emberwraith+Infiltrator combo is great.

My votes went to Naga and Dryad. Though the question sort of confuses me.

Are we talking about heros we never pick? or ones we never like to play? There is a difference.

For instance, I rarely play Wizard and Inf, yet it isn't because I don't like to play them. So...

Who the hell hates Fugly? He's freaken awesome!

Oh man I hate emberwraith. Idk why but I've never really viewed him as a valid hero pick, and start subconsciously hating anyone who picks him. I like his innate... and that's. Cone stun with no dmge? Wtf is that? Having to wave his arms around for 6 seconds to do moderate aoe dmge? Wtf is that? A passive that just gives evasion and regen? Corona is just... idk I guess it's okay.
Every hero except him and neph i can drop into a neat little role like "pusher" or "PKer"
Also, while I enjoy playing as inf, i've never really thought of her as in the spirit of EotA. Having to aim and time with AoO and having talents that rely on tenths of a second to help her bombs is way too dotaish. EotA should be a big picture game.
Don't even get me started on candleburg.

Yes, that's my favourite way of playing Emberwraith.
Unfortunately when my Corona runs out (or is interrupted), I have trouble getting away, since he's really slow and can't really defend himself without Corona.
