All Pick:
All heroes may be picked regardless of team's race. Team's race is random.
Random Hero:
All heroes are selected randomly regardless of team's race. Team's race is random.
Classic.A:
Hero selection is race restricted. Races are High Elves vs United Creeps.
Classic.B:
Hero selection is race restricted. Races are High Elves vs Grim Brigade.
Classic.C:
Hero selection is race restricted. Races are United Creeps vs Grim Brigade.
Classic.Ran
Hero selection is race restricted. Teams get a random race.

Capture Mode:
Both teams start with just a third tier town building at the main locations of the map, all other base locations are open for grab foundations that are surrounded by ACTUAL creeps. The objective to destroy the other team remains.

I wouldn't mind seeing "random hero". But for the most part, all pick is definitely the way to go. I really don't see the point in restriction certain games to certain modes, that's what makes EotA so great, all the diversity and uniqueness, but a few "restricted" ones now and then wouldn't be bad. The only real problem with random hero is that it could potentially be a huge disaster in terms of mass leaving. EotA is already fairly hard on noobs, and now we are going to ram Fenny or Inf down their throats....

It's a great idea for medium to good players, and a wonderful chance for those who are already fairly familiar with the game to spread their wings a little and experiment, but the noob factor could be devastating, just a warning, that's all.

Hmm, maybe have a subtitle saying that random hero is not "noob friendly"? Or at least a warning of some kind, that way they can't say they weren't warned. I played a bunch of Bnets the other week (one with Ion's brother and other with Akmed fyi) and the amount of leavers got quite frustrating at times. My 2 cents. Hope this helped.

I voted classic ran since in my opinion we could really do without GT balance wise and with garg broken at least the undead as a whole kind of balance out rothwyn.

Yeah, Elreth has a point. Probably best option until Orcs get four more heroes (at least) and Yak fixes UD (Garg and Roth).

Classic Elves vrs. Creeps sounds good, bring back some good memories.

Random hero is good too on occasion.

I was wondering if the games HostEm makes are supposed to be private, because the last few times I've checked they haven't been showing up on the game list. I've been forced to '/whois hostem' to find the game name.

Sometimes there's a problem and it can't get a game to show up on a specific realm.
