Get rid of loading bars and replace them with map informations ( to get less 5on5 candles ) and/or beginner tips ( scroll + temper, teleport, mercenaries, worker ).
Afaik you kept them to see what people take so long to load, but with recent optimizing tools I never experienced a very time consuming player.
The time and space on the loadscreen is better spent on getting some infos.

Somewhat relevant, version 13.3 of GHost++ has an option to make it so people who've loaded see the game with a lag box up for those who haven't loaded yet. No, players won't be dropped because of it (at least I don't think), it's allegedly keeps resetting the countdown of lag box every 30 seconds.
As for info, it only goes on the right side anyways, unless you image macro the loading screen. In which case visual aids may as well be done.

I've always liked the loading bars because it makes the map seem cleaner.

Well I'm all for providing info for the loading screen. It's an excellent use of the down time. It's a given that it won't help a lot of people given SShowdown the other map I host bot, has information on how to pick your character in the load screen and at the start, yet there's almost always someone asking "how pick?". But don't be discouraged by the inevitable tools, all that matters is it WILL help the people who it would help with.
