Eve of the Apocalypse: Twilight

I am relatively new to EoTA, having played DoTA for quite some time, and I really enjoy. I really enjoy the somewhat more lateral thinking that this requires. That being said, is there a way to do all pick on the heroes? I feel that everytime I play it I simply end up with a random race and it is making it extremely difficult to try everyone out. Is there a command that I type in for that?

Actually, in that same vein, what are the commands for EotA? I looked around for them and didn't see them.

My apologies if this was addressed somewhere else, but if someone could help me out I'd be grateful.

Yes, there is! But you'll need to do a few things. A) you have to create a LAN game. I assume you're referring to a single player? Anyways...B) Click "random race", the command is under advanced options (under the map icon). This allows you to pick any hero of your choosing, but retricts the race to random.

Thanks for the swift reply. I'm a fan of the Incarnation, the guy who looks like a death knight, a few others, but those are the ones that jump out at me.

I'll give that a try and see if that works.

-o, -obelisk : pings location of obelisks in their owners color
-t, -tower : pings location of damaged towers
-s, -spells : displays current spell formula values
-zoom XXXX : zoom in/out
-rotate XXX : rotate map

^^^VERY useful commands, and they help you think about the entire battlefield.

Isn't there something like -follow as well?

And don't forget -split <quantity> (first slot/top left slot) which I use often when using Ice Spinner.

Also:

-slide X :modifies the screen pan, with 0 cancelling it completely.
ESC pings all heroes with their colour.
-pool PLAYER COLOUR :gives all gold to said player.
-autopool PLAYER COLOUR :gives all your gold to said player at set intervals

There are a few more, but most of the commands are in the map under the quest menu.

AND MOST IMPORTANTLY!

-surrender :if all players on one team type this the game ends in a loss for said team.

Someone should write these together and add them to the wiki.

LuL the quest menu sucks, it's all outdated like. Yak needs to do some string updates mang! The older site/forums is still advertised.

AP games don't have to be LAN games. IF you host a game on BNet its "random races" in the advanced options setting.

Random Heroes is -Team AR.

Indeed, HostEm is hosting AP games on B.net.

Has the admin upkeep been good lately, or just have the bots been on a no-drop-hot-streak? >_>
