Incarnation

#1 Post by Luftwaffles »

I like this hero and had fun playing him with his talent unbroken in c2. I am just wondering what Yak had in mind for him in the future, if he was changing anything with him, etc.

Awesome hero, one of my favorites. It's fun to stack agility and buy the blink totem, then spam crit anything and everything that ventures too close, and they can't escape either!

Although the ultimate is useful (some of the time), I really don't think it fits the theme, and wouldn't mind seeing a new one...

Talent got fixed, yeah! :P

Oh, and I believe the Lich is asexual Luft (Ion). I remember Yak talking about it in another thread, just a side note. Though I always thought of "it" as a female, for whatever reason...

I swear it refers to it as a he in the hero text.

Pretty sure its valid to refer to an it as a he. 'It' is rather dehumanizing after all. So stop being insensitive.

But Quietus is neither male nor female.

That's where you replace he/it with name.

"It was an alien that abducted me. The alien used a probe on me. Maybe the alien was a border hopper with rufies."

Stop derailing my thread with silly gender issues =p

More specifically wondering if Yak had any skill changes in mind, and what people think of his skills. -shrugs-

Ult becomes innate, Remorseless gets replaced, other skills may get small tweaking. Mark goes away or becomes dependant on the former ult.

What would you replace Remorseless with, or are you not sure yet.

It is pretty cool. Perhaps just add something to it instead of just destroying it outright (or integrate it into another spell :D)

Yeah, Remorseless is kinda silly right now, but I love his other skills. He's a load of fun to play... very active, very damaging, and very, very annoying to fight against. Please don't change too much :O

Also, infinite mana+HP from Mark is awesome.

Hahaha yeah I was playing him earlier and had a real great time with it. I was surprised since I had always sort of had the opinion before that he wasn't as fun but I was totally wrong. Remorseless was interesting but just seemed more like a skill that was added for the sake of being that fourth skill .

If you're open to suggestions Yak it's prolly best to turn the thread into that (suggestions for new skill for Incarnation and others). If not no more point in it.

Hmm, for some reason, I've rarely had to use his Innate. Between purchasing the Orb of Skill and having one of the highest INT gains in the game, never really needed to. At least not right away, later in the game...

Curious though, why does he have to be so damn slow? Maybe a little love into his AGI gain. Correct me if I'm wrong too, but I believe he's even slower than melee tanks such as Alexander; Bhekar Ro; Gravel?

Worth noting while were on the subject of Lich.

I'm assuming the reason he's slow is because his primary nuke is one of if not the strongest single target nuke in the game that is non situational (i.e. doesn't rely on factors other than stat values, see Vengeance). So it stands to reason if he's super fast that hes gonna get a crapton more pks on careless players who can't outrun his nuke of pwnage.

This was true for the earlier versions when UD were new, 1.11c? However, Yak nerfed him heavily since then, though he significantly increased the cast range :P

Rend still hits pretty hard, but without stacking INT (which I don't) it's not terribly scary. Also, I'm not talking about a huge increase in AGI, maybe just par with the slowest tanks (excluding Gravel and GT).

Maybe when Yak changes some of Lich's skills he'll look into it.

Just a FYI, he isn't that slow. He's faster then Scarab who is roughly the same speed as Bane/Grav/RK/Garg.

Well, it's actually true- his Strength gain is something like 1.65 per level, which is fairly high for a ranged unit. Also the reason you all think he is slow is because his Agility gain is only 1 per level and starts at like 13 or 14 or something (which means he would have Agility on par with RK, BP and Gravel- almost).

I guess if anyone has suggestions it'd be fun to hear them.

Also, ToX exploded earlier today when he found out Incarnation's Rend Soul does 180 + (Int. x 1.80) at Level 1. It does do a lot of damage (perhaps a little too much) and ToX wanted it nerfed.

He then called us all terrible names and threatened to eat my first born children if we ever missed another bug like this again

it was determined that lvl 1 rend soul + mark does more AoE damage than a lvl 3 holy strike with a similar cooldown, combined with the low mana cost and the fact that mark would restore an additional amount of HP/Mana it was argued that this spell as is, is rather overpowered simply because of its high damage and high benefits. (And being able to cast it what 300 times before going oom?)
