mana regen added with upgrades

I think there should be some form of mana regen you can buy at your alter. Maybe imbued with the armor/attack upgrades. Like 200g for 25% or something. Its annoying having to blow a whole slot (and money) on a mana orb or circlet when your hero only requires a little encouragement in the way of mana pool.
Too some form of mana rings would be great if added, its really bad having to buy scarab the mana orb when you know he'd pwn with health + helmet.
Thoughts anyone?
