I refuse to recognize UD as part of the game, which would make them an exception.

In my opinion, the UD have some of the best heros in the game, at least for their assigned roles. For a tank and/or sieger, it's damn near impossible to beat a good Rue or the even new guy: Eidolon. Plus, Neph is on the verge of being nerfed, which means he's more than exceptional. Not to mention Oracle's overpowered utlimate :P or insane troop support ability. Garg has been on the nerf hammer block several times, same with defiler. Now how many Elven heros could you say the same for? Don't get me wrong, they have fine heros too, the best magic dealers by far.

I've been wondering how a team of Garg, Rue, Eidolon, Oracle, and...probably Ember would do for a while. Maybe go with neph instead of oracle or ember. Sure the other heroes need some help, but the same can be said of the other races too, so discarding all of UD seems a bit much.

Actually, I've been playing since the snow version of Stormwail you troll.

I'd disagree. Divine Wizard, Arcane Archer, Blazing Priest, Tactician, and Infiltrator would trump that team.

Acid Reaver, Aboreal Crusader, Ice Spinner, Scarab, and Grim Hag would trump it too.

I wouldn't know what max Blizzard is like, my games usually end long before that. But then again I stop playing when there's not chance of a winning or losing (when the game is decided).

UD don't suck, but currently, they have some huge issues going on:

Nephilium
Broken

Garg
Broken

Naga
Imbalanced (See other threads)

Ember
Imbalanced (See other thread)

Rue
Mortal Strike needs a buff, slight.

FM
Ion and/or Polarize need a buff.

Eidolon
OP'd (nerfed though?)

Defiler
OP'd (plague at least)

Think that's it for now, post any other complaints or thoughts you might have. And let's hope d is banner-driven by a (finally) balanced UD. :D

[edit] If one more persons posts something here bitching about Lich's Rend Soul being OP, I will be forced to troll them mercilessly. :evil:

I know, normally I wouldn't say anything or necro older threads, but with 90% of the UD heroes either broken or needing some sort of fix, it's kinda hard not to say anything. Too, people have been complaining about UD being imbalanced for so long....

Neph's CD's don't cycle correctly (again). At least the last time I played him. I haven't played EotA in a while.

Note: I played with your brother the other week, seemed to be a very good EotA'er. Asked where you were and he said you were alseep. Meh, maybe next time? :| :) :(

Isnt Rue on the overpowered side of life?
His Mortal Strike got a slight damage nerf, but he still has a speed aura, so wtf should he get his movespeed increased.
Then he has 100% damage blocking summons, flying fortress spam and 1% heal talent for them.

Well, it's rather subjective, isn't it? You think he's overpowered, I think he's could use a slight buff to Mortal Strike. I forgot the # growth for Mortal Strike, but in comparison to other nukes, it is rather weak. I'll try and get on and write them down.

You missed me on the speed increase....where did I say buff it?

Not sure about a 100%, haven't played EotA in a while, so you very well may be right. But I don't remember the # 100, it is high though.

As mortal strike was just nerfed, there is no reason to demand a buff for it, RIGHT?

Also it gets an additional normal attack damage in addition to the Mortal Strike damage. so the numbers alone are wrong in terms of real damage output.

You are aware that things can be nerfed too much, RIGHT?

This is my whole point.
Many of us think of MS as movespeed.
We are talking about a specific spell from a specific hero though, under these circumstances, I don't see how you can confuse the two.
