Putrid Eidolon's AI doesn't cast spells

Everytime there's an AI-controlled Putrid Eidolon, I never ever see it cast anything, and it seems to have a full, unused mana pool all the time.
Not sure if the same applies for the Glacial Tyrant, as I've yet to come across an AI-controlled Glacial Tyrant.
