Intelligence 23 (2.40)

Over that duration, his body is healed for (Int) HP per second. When time has expired, he emerges as a new Phoenix with increased attack speed, movement speed, and a percentage-based boost in HP for medium duration.

Flame's Breath
Flamebeak releases a cone of flame at enemy units, dealing (Int) dmg. (AoE). Also deals additional dmg to units who have over x armor, dealing further dmg per 1 armor.

Greater Evasion--Engulf
Grants Flamebeak a chance to avoid an attack. For every attack blocked, also grants him additional armor. Maximum of x armor acquired, lasts for x sec.
--Engulf
Flamebeak burst into flames, dealing minor AoE dmg and slowing units movement speed for x sec. Also steals armor and ignites a single on fire. That unit has a x chance to explode, and if so, deals further AoE dmg and heals surrounding allied units. Also removes negative buffs.

level 1. (Burn) burns nearby enemies in an area for small Dot dmg.
level 2. (Lesser Heal) heals nearby units for x per sec.
level 3. (Engulf) engulfs enemy units in fire who attack allied units, stealing a % of their attack and giving it to allied units.
level 4. (Greater Burn) further increases the effects of burn.
level 5. (Greater Heal) further increases the effects of lesser heal.
level 6. (Greater Engulf) further increases the effects of engulf.

Flamebeak
Please think of a more creative name

Fix the color code errors

Burning breath and Flame's breath, I understand you just made this hero but you could at least be more creative.

Blazing Priest can already summon phoenixes, seems kinda redundant that they would be on the same team

Is he vulnerable in egg form?

Greater Evasion seems to not fit with the hero at all, and Yak will never ever ever ever add an only passive attack to the game

Hero ideas seem better (sometimes) when you leave the effects/damage/time to skills blank, your judgement may not be the same as Yak's and he may want to change the numbers around so leaving them blank would allow him to think of ideas himself instead of taking stuff at face value.

Tewhootz!

First off, I thank you for your input, truly. We haven't always been "kosher" with each other.

Actually, the Blazing Priest issue didn't cross my mind at the time. Good point. The main reason I put this hero on the Elves side is because he can fly. But I might switch him to Creeps or Fel Horde. Not sure yet.

I rather like Flamebeak, but if enough people complain about the name, I'll change it.

No, he is completely immune to ALL dmg in "egg" form.

Several heroes have passive skills: Emberwraith, Harpy Queen, Alexander, and even the older version of Bane.

Yes, I agree. But I put in numbers/builds/modifiers to give people a better idea of how powerful (or not) his abilities are.

Edit: Color codes fixed. :D

So on a scale of 1 to 10, 10 being excellent, how good is this concept? Truthfully?

One shortcut to passives, is to simply to make the skill cast and give a buff exactly that of the passive.

Or just add an active ability to the passive(s).

For use to passives you forgot Tactician. But mostly Divine Scarab's armor which I think remains as such.

Emberwraith doesn't have a full passive and never did. Yak will do passives only in the form as a dual function, Passive + Active.

And I still Divine Scarab or whatever has the armor as a passive still, since I pretty much never get that skill it's been off my radar since 1.12c and I keep forgetting to check that.

As for names, a shortcut I use is thinking of cultural references to what's on my mind and mashing up words through that, and generally changing a few characters for it. My last hero submission is just Anja and Chakra changed up. I'll also translate words into other languages, typically a good language to translate to is Latin, at least for medieval-ish themed games.

Verboten Primo is just Forbidden Prime. Verboten is German for Forbidden, and Primo is just Prime with an 'o' instead of an 'e'.
Thurvias Lotust, Thurvias is a remash of a Latin word which I forget, probably Great person or Conquerer, and as for Lotust it's Locust with 'a' t instead of 'c'.
Volo Laedos is two Latin Words along the lines of Fast Wind.
Kun'Thalis is pretty much strictly improved.

Here's an example of my makeshift naming for "Flamebeak," Infernas Foro, which is Inferno remashed for Infernas, and Foro is just Pierce in Latin.

Tactician's passive is not fully passive.

Neither are Harpy Queen and Alexander, I was lumping Tactician in that specific category.

I said passive only

Which means it is only passive
Like the skill he suggested

Not like the category you made up

Also, it's called Grim Hag

Then I guess we'd better jump on Jamn for the "dryad" reference.

Its common to refer to EotA heroes to other names. Nothing wrong with it. If you know whats he's talking about, why would it matter?

I just copy pasted that as it was what I was refering to. Tactician is VERY fitting in that group, because if it's meant to be past tense where Rune Knight had his ability as a passive, well what do you know? Tactician was just a passive in those versions as well. Or if it's now based, they both have Passive + Active.

I plan to add an active spell to Greater Evasion, just an fyi.

Go Harpy Queen! Oh wait, "Grim Hag".
