Change the casting skill to be one that doesn't doesn't target with Smart orders. Trees regrow on top of putrid stumps making it more difficult to smart order the stump, and when you do accidentally make a stump with the regrown tree one of the putrid stumps can no longer be accessed via smart and the only way to access the healing from it is to drag select the stumps and smart order to your hero. Another problem with the current casting spell, is just general accidental usage just trying to move about the map. Another problem I found, is if you wanted to target a tree at a distance that's in the shadows, Putrid will actually do on near in sight instead.
Another thing I think is essential to putrid stump is to make it so you can destroy/destruct them, so you can have control of what goes and what doesn't when placing a replacement stump (would be exceeding 4).

yeah i found these points pretty irritating as well.
also i would add that i really would like to SEE my stomps and not have them dissapear into the fow~~
