The ideal concept of a society is to be a collective for the greater good of all and the individual by incorperating people's skills to accomplish specific tasks in a superior manner while compensating each others' weaknesses. A farmer farms, a carpenter builds, and a tailor makes clothing. Same could be said about law enforcement.
If you wish to go about the "law enforcement doesn't do a good job," well then improve it.

Enjoy your chains to the goverment.
So you farm your own food, huh?
I knew you were a hillbilly.
That explains why you have satellite internet.
You can't reasonably claim that your country is the best in the world if you haven't ever been outside of it. Come back to this forum once you have (but please not before).

Oh, that means you also dont trust medical facilities and treat everything yourself. Because you are strong.
This point I can understand. When people die inside a hospital after waiting over 24 hours without taking any care of you, I would lose my trust as well.
Fuck you health insurance, I AM STRONG!
Actually, with your socialized medicene (I can provide examples too), I've heard that happens alot more freqently. Why? Becuase it's rationed, it has to be to cover everyone, thus, the quality is vastly inferior, and yes, we do have the best healthcare in the world btw. It's bloody expensive, but that is the price you pay for quality, and if the damn government would keep it bureaucracy out, it would be alot cheaper.
As to the police thing? I'm not saying don't protect us/people. I am glad they risk their lives to keep people safe. But why is it so wrong for me to want to look after myself? And not relay on someone entirely to save my skin? Now when your taking about doctors, that is someone totally different, and yes, your right Discom, best left to the professionals. This is part of the reason why the stimulus bill is so bad, becuase at the surface, free money sounds great, I argee, but you have to, yes, look deeper and ask yourself what you are signing yourself into. In that sense, it's much the same as buying a credit card. Call me whatever, but that's how I look at it.

Quit changing the topic to the stimulus (which I don't think anyone but you cares about), and try to actually refute our points.
Hillbilly.

Cops don't really have the ability to prevent crime, only respond to it. Sure they help reduce it, but they can't do anything until after its been committed or at least underway. And quite often, the crime is over before the police have a chance to respond, even if a call is sent out immediately. Thus there really is no option other than to protect yourself, run away, or pray a cop happens to be right down the street.
Saying it shoudl be left to professionals just doesn't make sense. We aren't talking about situations where there are time for professionals to be involved. It's more akin to providing first aid before an ambulence arrives (to continue Dekar's doctor analogy).

Well there are the common sense skills like CPR and self-defense, but no normal human can master these all or compete with criminals. And it's not like DarkNemesis is under such restrictions living in Washington, given some guy went up to a theif pointblank with a shotgun behind the person going through someone's trunk (neighbor's vehicle) and blasted him killing him with no charges, simply because he said to emergency response he was going to shoot the theif if they didn't respond fast as he liked.
And back to the "law enforcement doesn't do a good job" part of things. Improve it.

Most criminals aren't experts at anything, at most they have weapons when the average person doesn't. Most of the time they'll back off if there's any resistance (or belief there may be resistance)
And back to the "law enforcement doesn't do a good job" part of things. Improve it.
My point is its quite literally impossible to improve it to that point, short of a guard stationed in front of every house.

To get this thread back on it's shitty topic that has absolutely jack all to do with EotA, that's pretty much what they do in North Korea.

Every one of your fucking useless threads, which people post in because you are quite possibly the fattest lulzcow we've ever encountered, is off topic. Unfortunately you're also one of our most active members, although I seriously wish you'd put more time aside for committing suicide.
And don't even get me started on your "Gron" thread.
Why, you posted all the words. I just copied, pasted and asked a legitimate question. Will he steam his revenge? Or is he too busy debating the merits of gay rights and whether or not biology is compatible with your shitty idea of how the world works.
This thread blows.

Yeah cause I've professed my love to dictators and the founders of communism on this site so long. Especially given the politically charged nature of EotA I can't help but throw it around all the time.
Dark you are scum that even 4chan and the DotA forums have a hard time attracting. No mod needs to close this thread, they only need to delete the bullshit you've posted and stupid, useless replies like the one that I have made.

All Government styles have had dirty histories, even Democracy. Though Muhammad was fascist, he laddered up to his position through Democracy.
