Transfer wc3 over to another computer via a network. Anyone know?

Kind of vague, do you even know how to transfer anything across a network? Also, what operating system are you using? Or you just don't know how to transfer Warcraft III specifically?

Laptop has vista, computer with wc3 has XP.

No clue what I'm doing, I got them set up as part of the same network but that was pure luck.

Don't have base disc so need to just transfer over.

So you can just send a file across the network then?

Well for Warcraft III it's a simple process. Just goto run, put in 'regedit'.

Goto, HKEY_CURRENT_USER -> Software
Right click Blizzard Entertainment -> Export to Warcraft III install folder as anything (01.reg suggested)
Right click Battle.net -> Export -> Export to Warcraft III install folder as anything (02.reg suggested)

Close reg edit.

Copy Warcraft III to a network folder that the other computer can access. Then bring the folder to "C:\Program Files"

Then, go into the Warcraft III folder, open the files you had extracted from RegEdit.

If you put Warcraft III into a different drive/folder as it was on the previous computer, editing in regedit will be needed. Let me know if this is the case.

I always just burned the contents to a CD, and transfered that way.

For future reference...
No need to go through regedit
you can just copy and paste it from program files folder to program files folder, WC3 doesn't do much with the registry at all except while running.
done it literally hundreds of times at lan parties and such.

There was an error writing to your hard drive while trying to download from bnet. You may need to free up some space. Please check your hard drive and try again.

That's at least close. And single player works fine.
