the Embalmer/Alchemist

#1 Post by Delolith »

Title/Class: The Emblamer, or The Alchemist
Name:??? (not yet decided)
Model: Acolyte/Modified Acolyte/Alchemist Hero/???(whatever works)

This Hero is a support member of the Grim Brigade that is responsible for the "health" and well being of the undead troops. a professional in Preserving dead flesh, he can slow or stop the decay, thus allowing the army to last longer without needing fresh corpses to bolster their numbers.

Strength 18 +1.1 per level
Agility 12 + 1.1 per level
Intelligence 29 + 2.25 per level

Intelligence hero

Innate, Create Embalming Mixture

The Embalming Mixture is basicly a healing salve that works only on undead units/heros. it would be a non-combat consumable that would heal for between 2-10% (Darnyak's call) max Hitpoints. would stack in inventory and splitable like the Ice spinner's web.

First Ability - Sticky Bomb "a standard explosive device with a sticky tar substance attached to one side" this bomb is thrown at enemy heros or units, and has a 12/24/36/48/60/72% chance to stick to the target. should it fail, the bomb will fall to the ground and wherever it lands is where it will explode. should it attach to the hero or unit, well... the outcome of that is obvious. (does more damage based on int)

Second Ability - Plague Barrel "Places a barrel on the ground that spews forth a gas containing a airborne plague for 3-8 seconds (Or till destroyed) that affects all non-undead units, this plague eats away at the enemies life

Theres two other ways this skill can go either... (either one or the other, subject to change of course)

1. units that are affected also spread the plague to other non-undead units they come in contact with. (higher levels = more damage from the plague) (does more damage based on int)

or

2. plague does fixed amount of damage (% based) units that are killed by the plague have a 10/20/30/40/50/60% chance to raise as skeletal warriors (which also are stronger based on level) (skeletal length based on Int)

Third Ability - Embalming Spray "The Emblamer spews tons of his special mixtures onto the ground and into the air wildly, undead units caught in the blast will have their flesh renewed, but since it was designed to peserve the flesh of the dead, the living may have a negative response to it. Heals (based on Int once again!) up to a fixed number per unit, then up to a max amount of healing. (example: 152 per unit, 921 max) obviously for balance reasons the cooldown will have to be quite long. may cause minor debuff or damage to enemy units, but most likly not. also the healing value will be alot smaller then the example (for obvious reasons)

another way this could work is it places a graphic on the ground that will cause units to get a healing over time/damage over time spell.

Forth Ability - Unknown

Ultimate - Unknown

this hero is a work in progress, comments/suggestions appreciated.

Love the idea. Can't wait for the skills.
Why would you not love pie? You know its a sin not to. Pie > God. Even His commandments can't prove this is not true.

The undead have plenty of heal... Incarnation and Oracle do well enough at it... Plight can also do a bit with his stonegaze... what they need is an AoE caster...

Apart from that the concept is fine...

yeah, well thats the main thing is they got too many heals on this faction, so if you make a dedicated "healing hero" you can change the abilities on the others. what im aiming for on this guy is something Time Cleric/Blazing Priest. he'll have like 1 offensive ability, 2-3 support abilities and a heal ability(other then his starting ability)

its also possible that the heal could be Non hero's only.

also the three abilitys are up :) and all of em have AoEs o.o

also due to the fact most of his intelligance based, might have to change him to a strength or agility hero, but for right now i just lowered the base Str value.
