Re: EotA: Twilight 1.14b9 Released
Carapace (good early game skill) is useless beyond 2 points and very limited/boring, Smite is horribly random and mana costly, and the Lifewave talents are absurdly expensive. Scarab is a mediocre (being very generous) hero at best, just my 2 cents

Is Scarab's 'carapce' still a passive?
Cos if so, I thought Yak was revamping passives.

I'm wondering the same. I haven't played in a while so I could be wrong, but there wasn't any mention of it in the changes list.Is Scarab's 'carapce' still a passive?

Carapace is just a portion of the problem, some of his other spells are really lacking, especially now with all the other heroes getting revamps and generally being more streamlined and complex.

What does that have to do with it? You listed the changes for the Creep heroes, just not sure why Scarab got skipped

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.14b9 Released
I still can't tell if Ki Storm works.
Maw of Death can't target flying units but can still affect them.
After seeing today's game with SB and testing him myself, he still seems like he could use some balancing, particularly Incinerate and Decoy.
It seems pretty easy to get mana with his innate (especially late-game) and the fact that the decoy can use it too means that the mana cost can be often covered from summoning it.
Incinerate is spell that's very easy to spam with its low mana cost and has a good knockback, useful for trapping heroes or interrupting. The debuff that increases damage from Incinerate lasts a long time, allowing the damage to easily skyrocket.
Decoys are still pretty strong and sturdy by having SB's innate and Mend as those two skills allow them to stay a long time and just Incinerate everything.
In my test-game, I was able to use him pretty well with only Sorceror's Robe +5 against the AI in a 2v4 game at Kedge.
