Scheduled EotA: Twilight Games

Postby DarnYak » September 4th, 2011, 12:35 pm

Currently EotA games are hard to organize, so there will be regular games organized on the weekends.

Games are open to all, and we'll try to split up into as many games as people show up. Meet up in channel Clan EotA on US East.

Regular Schedule:
Saturdays, 4pm EST / 1pm PST
Sundays, 4pm EST / 1pm PST

We also recommend joining the EotA Steam Group so to see the event calander & notifications in your own time zone.

Reason: Friday games don't exist, edited with Saturday even though it's mostly just AI games.

May as well try it. BTW you're an EotA group admin now if you want to add games yourself.

Yea, unless there's some good idea to get people to show up. Doesn't matter too much, since we're only a few weeks out (I fucking hope) from the final version.

I suppose you could try anonymous games again?

Anyway, will there be any EotA games this weekend or next? Both Sundays are a holiday (Christmas/New Year's) and almost no one comes on Saturdays (unless you try something special maybe?).
If the answer is no, would you still be releasing new versions of EotA every week?

Lets try the Monday after xmas, and new years.

I'm hoping a certain red guy with a beard will be in the xmas version.

You should start working on the Halloween version instead.

FYI: Superbowl this Sunday, so I don't anticipate the normal amount of people showing up so plan on it being canceled. Of course, if people show up anyway we can still have some games.

Bit of a shame... I can only get on at night, specifically 9:30 PM CT or so due to the fact that I've got 56k internet, if I use it during the day I risk missing calls. I do have satellite internet to browse and such much faster but it's very difficult to play anything with it as it has some sickeningly high natural ping (burst transmission as opposed to consistent stream like a cable). Tomorrow I have work at 4:00 too so I can't get on then... same way every Sunday. No wonder I don't get any EotA games, everyone just plays at a different time than me, lol. But hey, look me up if you ever want to play EotA at night, I'm usually up for that against the stuff I'm usually stuck playing (don't get me wrong, EotA: Exodus is a VERY solid game all around, but people LOVE to ruin the fun by making their Heroes OP and destroying spawners).

It's been too long, time to do Anonymous games this Sunday (the 12th). Show up on some name and hide who you are, great fun will be had.

Hi, just thought I'd necro this thread because it's the only one relevant to what I want to ask that's stickied at the top of every forum area.

Are the scheduled EotA: Twilight games still running? I see a bot called 'EotaJou' hosting games on US East sometimes, and last I saw it was up to Game #82. Also, is Clan EotA (and therefore the channel) well and truly dead? I can't access it, and yet the bot keeps telling me to go check it out. I would really love to play EotA again with people if I could; I've played 3 full-length games with the (VERY, VERY SCARY GOOD) bots, 2 on Stormwail Peak and 1 on Gloomreap Mire, but I would relish the chance to get back in the game on B.Net. If anyone can sound off on this and tell me the state of things, please do; I've been gone from this community for a while, and I'm only just now returning, so I want to know if I'm just speaking into the void or not.

Thanks!

Whoa, cool! Can you tell me the names of some of the people who play, so I can add them to friends list and keep an eye out for them? Please and thank you. ^^

They generally just show up during game time on Sat/Sun...unaware of any of them logging on during the week, so not something you can really look out for.
