Shardling Seige

#1 Post by Thermie »

Rock giants shardlings are still easy as hell to rig a game with, even after the attempted fixes (auto taunt and auto follow/attack)

Ive got a replay of how I overcame both the changes and still took down the main base with 15 Shardlings hit with rank 6 aberate once each, it is attached.

I concur, I don't even need to see the replay.

Shardlings should to be weaker, shorter duration and/or spawn less frequently.

On a side note abberation is a different story with a similar ending. The heal component is pretty unreasonable to me, taking down a huge creep is a big enough hassle, but killing the same unit 2 or 3 times is just not fun.

Problem is, even without Abberate, Shardlings are still insane.

I would suggest they have a fixed attack/armor value, and no longer gain improvements from Gravel's attack/armor upgrades.

There is also the option of just giving them a duration(goes for Arbatration too). Don't think it would be a bad idea for attack/armor not to scale either.

Off topic side note: why not give that bonus to the AM's pansy little skellies?

Yak secretly hates poor Lyfial.

I'd love to see her little skeletons get buffed up though. As it is, Blazing Priest makes better undead than she does. Buuuuuuuuurn!

Is this a bug or balance issue?

And if you guys insist on gettng shardlings (and abberration) nerfed so much, ok.

It's not really a balance issue or a bug, it's more of an exploit. Just make it so they can't be put on airships.

IMO, just remove the upgrades from the shardlings, and leave abberration as it is, or slightly nerf it.

I generally have a problem with the way you handle balance, IMO you often give out a huge nerf where a slight one would be enough.
