Hardcore mode - peanut gallery

#1 Post by Discombobulator »

I strongly support Hardcore mode.

Features I'd like to see:

Items drop on death, if someone decides to loot the corpse.

All spells can target friendlies.

Vision not shared between allied players. Includes the computer player.

Summons have a chance to turn against their masters. In fact, they always turn hostile to everyone if their master is killed.
I'm this forum's MVP.

Wouldn't they then just kill each other?

Well skeletons carry it and already don't die from it, so I would say it's safe to assume they're immune.

Isn't there a problem with not sharing vision with the computer player. You need vision of the building in order to warp to it, without changing how one warps to it. So I believe if you can see the buildings you can see the troops too, unless I'm mistaken. In addition to that you shouldn't forget about troop overflow. You will be able to see what troops assigned to your color can see. Potentially giving one, or more players an advantage over the others.

It should take some amount of time to loot a body for items, not too long though. It should only be for one random item and there should be a chance of failure. (Although I don't believe a feature like this would be possible.)

There should be no tempering outside of the alter.

Healing fountains/buildings should heal slower, except for the one in main base.

More, if I think it.

I think that other things should be worked on before another mode is added that won't be used by many people at all. Like Capture Mode :D. Or you know, bug fixes and balancing. And Fel Orcs.

could we add a kill cam? ;D

I was thinking decreased item costs, double the bounty on heros, and add some sort of mortal kombat "finish him" voice when ya get a hero in a certain area around you below 15%
