Artist replacements

#1 Post by Perhaps »

As artists all go croak, while fond memories of them still exist, and the desire for more. What's the closest that can be achieved? Some would say replacing the diciest member, some would disagree with that and say bringing back the dead is more valid option.

It seemed to work well for ACDC and INXS. But many dispute Paul Rodgers in Queen[citation needed] as well as a few others people have been displeased with, that I can remember off the top of my head.

Since they take on something much different, shouldn't they just use a different name, or at the least do some name tweaks like "The New <band>" or "<band>: <subtitle>"

Is the military freak cover artist Captain Jack really "back"?

Anyways, what's your take on the matter? Any specific replacements make you pleased or displeased?
Express your thoughts and feelings with keen vigilance.
