they finally released 2.7? that only took 4 years longer then they said it would.

I waxed nostalgic the other day so I dug out some classic versions and had fun with army upgrades. Om nom nom nom!

You too, huh? They're kinda fun, actually; certainly makes me wish they were in the current version (with the one caveat of being balanced.)

I felt it was the army upgrades that differentiated EotA from every other AoS I had played at the time. They forced you to consider the larger picture beyond hero kill, hero kill, siege. Granted it usually boiled down to both teams upgrading catapults and adding barrage so catapults could get some AoE and then whatever else they could, but it was still cool!
