unfortunately for the germans i cant really set it up to come out there too. Well I could quite easily, but, the games would be horrible at best for anyone that joined it :(

There actually are people who are not german on europe. :P

I would host the hostbot myself if i had a high end pc. Sadly its quite the contrary.

You don't see those much outside of salt mines, these days.

An interesting stat some of you may be interested in. Since my reboot at 5pm central on friday, the bot hosted over 80 games through sunday. It is now up to 92 and has been up for exactly 3 days now.

And people actually join them? :P

How fast do they fill?

from what i can tell usually under 10 min with the bot hosting the same game on both realms.

Is the commands restricted? For some reason I am unable to make the bot host again?

.hostpub <game name> requires the EotA bot there.

When you do ".hostpub <game name>" EotA bot will issue the EotA-HB to host the game with the given game name and use the person giving the command as its "game host admin"

What I'm stating may or may not be related to your specific issue. But since it's possibly related, it's worth bringing up.

Wont work for me for some reason. Its disappointing too because it used to, and I would start it quite a few times.

Edit: nvm I just remembered I was banned by the admin. Cause I beat him  Anyways its too bad, cause EotA is just killing itself off by doing stupid things like that. I think that its cause I got banned by admin atleast. Anyways if thats the case then I gota refuse to play EotA or host it at all. I hope this isnt the case, and if it is I would like the appeal the ban?

Little things like bans are easy to forget, yeah.

If people would listen to what Perhaps typed, when the main EotA bot is not there, non-admins can NOT make games through the Hostbot.

No, my name is NWA. And EotA-HB is in the channel, Just refuses to do anything when I type the command. I would appreciate being unbanned if possible. I got banned for the most retarded reason. If you dont want to play with the artifact, you should says so BEFORE we win with it. Also the EotA bot has been down for a few days, I cant get my code.
Thanks for reading this, and thanks for the great bots :D

Uh, if you haven't realized from Perhaps' post, EotA and EotA-HB are two different entities

You need both online

It's something you could learn from simply have noticing EotA (stealthbot) doing ".pubby <name> <game>". At least that's how I came to a theory, then I tried doing ".pubby RectalReaver EotA!" saw that nothing happened, then determined that EotA (stealthbot) and EotA-HB (Ghost Bot) are both required to be on for us non-accessed. It's a sketchy setup but that's how it is right now.

This is a bunch of lies, but put together in a way that looks convincing.

Don't believe a word Perhaps says.

This is the only way it can and will be until the creator of the bot gives access levels. As I stated in a previous post, there are only 2 access levels on the host bot right now, admin, or none. I am not giving everyone admin access because you can clusterfuck my computer into oblivion if your not careful. And you lemmings have a habbit of breaking shit when I give you access to it. So in short DEAL WITH IT.

OOO I feel stupid now. So, NORMAL, non admin users, can only get the bot to start games when EotA bot is running. For some reason it hasnt been on east for a few days. That makes sence.

Thanks for clearing that stuff up.

It'd be great if we could get access to the .getgames command.

I don't suppose it'd be possible to host the game with another mode? just wonderin'.

He could give EotA .getgames command that'll have it do ".getgames"

Re: EotA-HB

by Sparda963
or not, because there is really no point in anyone having that command. If you try to make a game and the slots are all full, it will say that. If the bot is not in the channel, then its currently in the lobby hosting a game for people to join and the .getgames commands wont work anyway. This one can get pretty spamy so its staying as is.

The only reason I'd want that command added would be to see how long the running games have lasted. ("Oh, it'll probably end soon, I'll wait")
If it doesn't display that then there's no point.

Buf if it's not happening then that's too bad.
