I predict blizzard coming down on this like a ton of shit soaked flaming bricks. From what they are saying in everything i have read posted about this so far is that, its going to be pretty much a direct copy of dota from WC3. The only real difference is updated graphics, and it becoming a stand alone game instead of a custom map for WC3. If they play on doing that, I don't think blizzard will take kindly to all their models being used by another company. They could quite possibly claim copy right issues on anything/everything in the map, including character names, skill names, items, and even the map name itself. After all DotA was created through the blizzard engine, and im pretty sure somewhere in that extensive eula it says anything and everything you make in here still belongs to blizzard.

As nice as the thought of Blizzard sueing Valve over DotA is, I doubt Blizzard will risk losing huge amounts of popularity/fanbase because of it.

But they made Bnet 0.2 too.

I really don't see DOTA 2 going anywhere. There is a reason Riot Games and Blizzard refused to work with IceFrog, and S2 Games severing ties with him.

icefrog is a massive tool, and a lying scumbag pretty much. And yeah i dont see it going anywhere either. i doubt blizzard would lose any fanbase if they sued either.

This is so stupid.

At least they recognize AoS as DotAs origin.

Meh, I stopped caring about though whole AoS being the root thing. The only reason I keep it on mind is to shut up "dota rip-off" sayers.
