This post is purely to count how many times heroes appear in a game with massive memory leaks in order to try and isolate the problem. If you have a game that dies due to a memory leak, please post a list of heroes in this thread.

High Elf:
1x Infiltrator
1x Swashy
1x Time Clerix
1x Divine Wizard
1x Soul Binder

Creep:
1x Gravel
1x Arcane Mistress
1x Scarab
1x Dryad
1x Bane

Undead:
2x Gargoyle
2x Martyr
2x Oracle
1x Nephilim
1x Incarnation
1x Defiler

If so:

High Elven:
Tactican
Rune Knight (Possible caus the new area spell)
Arcan Archer

Undead:
Plight (Dive maybe?)
Oracle(I bet this hero got enough Periodic Spells)
Emberwraith

Depends on exactly what sort of lag we're talking about. Spikes that end after a spell ends don't count (and make the spell that cuases it really damn obvious, usualy geyser). End game lag is usualy just due to a massive amount of units. Lag that drives games to a complete halt or near halt is important though, even if they aren't nessarily a memory leak in itself.

Well i meant low fps~
Sometimes we had like 10fps or worse. To that time geysir wasnt activated i dont know cant remember but it last 3-4 seconds. Then the fps slowly raised and became stable. This happened several times.
It was not because the amount of Spawns, i think it was because 3-4 heros casted at the same time on the same screen a spell. Also Spawns was included in these effects.

Well, memory leaks effect the RAM of a computer, I think, and last until the game is over (and the computer finally clears the RAM)... so it shouldnt improve again after a time... :-/

I dont know if wc3 is able to do so, but normaly i need to restart my PC or wait a hour until it become normal again.
Thats why some people need to restart Wc3 after playing some matches, or one round eota^^

Seriously, anyone experiencing memory leaks or lags needs to

a) buy a new computer

or b) http://www.msnbc.msn.com/id/19832184/wi ... ?GT1=10150

Seriously, 1.10 runs fine.

And some people dont want to buy a new pc every 6 months just to play the new EotA version. And if you do youre plain stupid.

And game parts with slow down are just called lags even though they are performance drops and thus have nothing to do with connection speed.

Meh, while I dont deny there's a certain minimum computer requirement for EotA, its certainly not suppose to be increasing over the versions. The existance of this thread should say enough that its an issue on my end, not anyone elses.

The only real exception is if you lag horribly every single game. The current issues are something like 20% chance per game (and that's a high estimate I think - unacceptable anyway), but the rest should be playing fairly well (yes, even some with ud)

Naga, her spells like Geyser and Ki Blitz cause lots of temporary lag, I find Blitz worse then geyser personally.

Just for the records, the game yesterday, with Siege, was painful to me... unplayable later on... fps went down to 1/3 or 1/4 regularly...

EDIT:

UD: Neph (War, Fire, 1 level Blood, Power, later 1 Shadow) , Ember (AoE, Stun, Ult, Smoke), Lich (dunno), Martyr (Polarize, rest dunno)
HE: AA (Fam, Meteors, dunno), Infil (AoO, mines, dunno), DW (HS, ED, Dispel, Veng), BP (FotD, FS, dunno)
NO LAG (should be said, too) [apart from one short moment for me, but it was very well playable, till we lost normally (Stormwail)]

Creep: Gravel (Rockslide, HotM, Ult, later Tremor), Scarab (Nightmare, Ult, dunno), Fugly (early leaver), Bane, Dryad (comp)
UD: Defiler (Chain, Plague, stun), Naga (Ki Blitz, Befuddle, Geyser, dunno), Martyr (Ethe, Polarize, Ult, Streak), dunno the rest anymore (No Plight and no Neph, I think, but I also dont remember Ember)
NO LAG, very well playable, enemies left when they started losing (Stormwail), we finished the game normally

EDIT:

Creep: IS, Fenny, Bane, DS
UD: Neph, Naga, Lich, Rue
NO LAG; Stormwail, we surrendered (although it was quite late, no noticable lag at all)

Ran into a performance issue.

I was Time Cleric and I was casting Ebb repeatedly. It was fine until one time I cast it it just slowed that part of the map way down. Everybody left after that as it just lagged horribly.

Edit: Now that I think about it and have played version D more, I don't believe it was just Ebb. Version D seems to be full of lag in general...

I was using Ebb in the test game, didn't run into any issues...

Yeah, but a lot of things might depend on how much it's previously leaked, or any number of huge possibilities that you can't even consider. It's the straw that breaks the camel's back in this case, QSm.

This was the RK liquid lag spell. There were like 3 or 4 active by time the game ended.

Except Ebb isn't a triggered spell, other than the unit spawn and duration, so the only thing that could cause the leak is the Ebb aura unit itself spawning - which is very unlikely.

And if Ebb has been redone with new triggering, disregard this post ;)

The hero in everyones but w00tzs games appearing is Ember. He has 2 spells which last for a rather long duration with large AoE and are thus good candidates for creating massive leaks if something is wrong with them. At least thats my guess.

EotA ate up memory ( 800mb ) until none was left, then it started to become unplayable.

Gloom:

UD: Lich, Defiler, Ember, Naga
Elves: DW, RK, BP, TC

Gloom, 40 minutes game.

UD:
Ember LEFT RIGHT AT START, so AI took over and probably didnt made him cast the leaking stuff ( just my theory ofc )
Defiler
Vamp
Naga

Elves:
Aero
SB
Swashy
TC
Sniper

Game basically didnt leak at all. Leaving was under 15 seconds compared to 7,5 minutes in a leaky game.

Kedge Landing can get insanely laggy, enough to be unplayable.

In terms of heroes, unfortunately I haven't kept tracked but Kedge's Landing is the only map that can get crazy lag for some reason.

Sometimes it doesn't lag, sometimes it does lag crazily and stays that way for the rest of the game.

I don't think Kedge's has to do with hero selection, I've seen all kinds of combinations on that map, and every scenario resulting to eventually becoming unplayable or crashing.
