And ban everyone that registered in the past six months or so.

Signed.

For some days now I keep thinking at "rapmant stupidity in the forum". ( We had a thread with this title once, hadnt we?)

Or y'know, put more strict limitations on bannable offenses, because disabling registration all together would just totally kill EotA. That or get more moderators

This recent rash of stupidity has gotten to be pretty ridiculous. I don't really want to turn off new member registration, as I've been hosting EotA recently and getting a few people hooked. They may want to come here and talk on the forums, but. . .if they can't. . .it doesn't look good.

But certain posters should be removed. We all know who I'm talking about.

Yea. Subtle as a train wreck right there.

Train wrecks are surprisingly subtle, especially when a the deaf or people with certain selective hearing are near, or a certain types with something that's simply addicting(such as those swinging balls on businessmen desks)...

Just thought I'd let you know.

On topic:

I disagree with turning off registration, if even possible, but do agree with being a bit stricter to a point. I haven't been bored since I'm watching a good series right now, but pie eating juggling monkeys may still come, I've got a accomplice

So yeah, Reaper got rid of those posts five days ago, and I banned the offending users. I meant to reply here right away, but I never finished the post I was going to write. (I was going to say something about how I'm really paying attention even when it seems like I'm not, and I just like to avoid rushing into things, but that's all only half true.)

Anyway, it looks like now that all (ok, most) of the trolls/annoying people are gone, the forums have returned to dull inactivity.

I shall mourn for the banned, exiled, and fallen....last one is forum related if we lose activity....

On second thought. . .given some of the discussions on this forum. . .I wonder if maybe starting anew might not be a bad idea.

I've still seen worse, but a secret invitation only forum?

With how choosey Clan EotA members are I doubt we'd get anything done. It would keep out some very very very very very very very very very very very annoying people though. Everyone knows who I'm talking about.

I have an idea...

How about unsilencing Soulbourne on IRC so he can reply to undirected comments made there instead of copying BSG's actions early of copy/pasting 200 lines of the Word SPAM And posting as many as he can before getting d/c?

I thought that at first, too, but that's only if this forum is. . .decent. Looking at some of the **** Perhaps has posted, this forum isn't anywhere ready to be in the public eye. It'll hurt us if people come to this site, looking to talk about EotA, and find porn.

32 year writing ban?

If they are suggesting it, they're suggesting it poorly, because my registration is 7 months, not including FutatsuNoOmoi. If you wish to jump it to 7 months, I could just use my older account instead.

Here's a simple solution, don't be such uptight bitches. You don't have to like it, but you don't have to be spaztic. It's the whole sad zealous stuck up seniority complex that this community has that makes me not take it seriously. I'd say ban a select group of them, since there's only a problem because they make things to be problems. And not to mention, they don't provide shit for players, and drive others away.

But go right on ahead and increase the effect of their negative impact.

You're not even part of Clan EotA, but please list everyone that's having a negative effect seeing as how your an expert about everything.

I said a "select group" for a reason, to avoid saying specific people. EotA isn't exclusive to Clan EotA; another mentality problem. I've been invited, but I declined because clans to me are pointless. By community, I mean everyone playing EotA, clan or not. However, most specifically the problematic ones are within the clan. The closest I've come to a clan was my EotA only account to man a friends list, that I add people who like the map, and they add me back so the can see when I host a game. This is before I've come across these forums or the channel. A few of those people have encountered this group and said that "they were worse than the DotA community."

Did you ever try the gateways? Like Europe? They're pretty nice. Stay over there for a bit, Hammel is a veteran who can offer you and your friends some good insight on how to play EotA.

Whoa, forgot about quote pyramids here..

I agree with perhaps' disagree about clan thing, I rarely see 3 members of clan on, if I see any there bots, or in maps I've never heard of. Think many constant players are in other clans...Wonder how Theo would do here bringing order...

That reminds me...I need to borrow a admin's banweapon from somewhere to combat some militant mods on another forum....admin weapon should beat 6 mod weapons...
