[Mercenary] - Zokam

#1 Post by Mills »

Just for clarification, by mercenary I mean any faction is able to choose him as a hero and not a tavern hero.

Anyways, Zokam

I like how noobs will be terrible with this hero. Seems appropriate

An active skill that is supposed to be kept on cooldown is just as bad as a pure passive.

The ultimate robot hopefully has a (very) slow movement.

Poltergust description makes no sense. :P After all the energy is released as damage and not stored.

Camouflage is interesting.

All in all his skills look a bit unexciting to me, his innate does nothing, he turns into an average townhall, throwing explosives may look quite good ( and is hopefully not based off of cluster rockets), we already have kaboom goblins in the map, dispel may get a nice effect, his ultimate is a summon that does nothing but raping corpses.

The gold instead of mana system will be hard to balance to not ruin noobs and flood pros with gold.
<EotA@Azeroth> YAKS GO MOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Dekar: the ultimate ocean themed hero should buff and depend on spawn waves!
DarnYak: why is that
Dekar: WAVES
Dekar: :D
DarnYak: i was afraid that was the answer

Yar, I should probably clarify things, but I got lazy earlier so just posted it.

Poltergust is suppose to dispel to dispel the area that you target, then next time you use it it will be a single target nuke dealing damage dependant upon how much you dispelled.

I also suppose how 'exciting' a hero is is dependant on the person playing it. I personally find the RK extremely boring, but other people enjoy him apparently.

I would be a bit worried about balancing him out though, but in comparison it's not like we've been doing a fine job with that already.

Just to steal what others said: the gold thing could be very tricky to work right. This guy would have to farm like a mad mother to keep up. Interesting idea though, fresh. I like it.

So whats with the merc deal? can you play him or not?

He is suppose to be a playable hero but not have any faction restrictions. This means that both United Creeps and High Elves would be able to pick him in a non-AP game. Still, if one side would select him he would no longer be available for the other team.
