Title is self-explanatory. Fel Horde is in need of some additional heroes I think, and I've got few ideas that might be of some usefulness (hopefully). Also, it doesn't hurt to help Yak out once in a while! Lets make it a little easier on him so we can see the next versions sooner (again, hopefully). So here it goes.

I'll start the thread off with a Tank concept, since this is my favorite "class" in EotA. (Tyrant doesn't count as true tank, too much int-based stuff).

Gron Hellblade


Fel Orc Captain

Stats
Str--high/very high
Int--medium/low medium
Agi--low/poor
Armor--high
Attack---decently-high/high

History:
After being killed at the battle of Mount Hyjail? Gron was resurrected by a dark Necromancer to serve to Fel Horde in their latter campaigns. Now he serves only to seek out the man who ended his life: a Paladin of the Silver Hand. Gron will stop at nothing until he steams his revenge. Driven by madness and hate, he often charges into the foremost lines of battle, caring only enough to satiate his thrust for vengeance through ending other lives. Though this partially steams the ravenous tantrum, his lust will never fully cure until his death own becomes vindicated by the life of the one who slew him.

Faction: Fel Horde of course!

--Abilities

-Innate
Merciless Hunger
Fills the Orc Captain with pure rage, driving him to the very edges of madness. Grants 50% increased attack speed for medium duration (15-25 sec), at a cost of 1% of his total health.

1.)
Morbid Frenzy
Sacrifices: 35%/43%/51%/59%/67%/75% of Gron's armor and converts it into attack dmg. Lasts for medium duration.

2.)
Demoralize
When at a certain % of the his health, Gron gains the chance to stun per attack for 20 sec. Duration for stun starts at 2 sec (4 sec units) and goes up .5 per level.
2% chance @ 100-86% health
5% chance @ 85-76% health
7% chance @ 75-66% health
9% chance @ 65-56% health
12% chance @ 55-46% health
15% chance @ 45---% health

3.)
Orc's Blood
Grants a 10% boost in Strength and 25% boost in armor. Also randomly gives a chance to slam the ground around him, (dealing Agi-based physical dmg). Starting around 50 dmg and ending with 350 (without Agi bonus). Agi bonus increases per level.

I'll post the rest later. Feel free to comment on what I have thus far though. Suggestions are always welcome!

So. . .other than your intense dislike of the person behind the idea. . .What do you think of the HERO? Names change. The actual abilities.

I swear, half the time I think if DarkNemesis developed the cure for cancer, w00tz and jamn'd die of cancer before they would admit to defeat.

Innate is too good unless the cooldown is very high

other skills seem to lack in uniqueness or desireability

That is a poor assumption... DarkNemesis is too dumb to develop the cure for cancer.

Other than the fact that he stole the name, misspelled the hero class, and if you took away the back story and all of the skills, I guess I can see it being good.


You are aware that this isn't a finished concept right?

In other words I intend to fix spelling errors, change concepts/ideas and otherwise fend off rampant flamers before claiming finished.

Or are you really that stupid?

Yes, I know. But that is different from Gron Hellblade. DarnYak has modeled several heroes off of Warcraft 3, I don't see how it's any worse if I do.

Plus, its a name. Not a concept or anything.

Story is weak, there were no paladins involved with the battle of Hyjal.

This dosen't really fit with mele str heros, they are more about hitting hard and taking hits, not hitting fast.

Could be way to powerfull if it converts x armor points into y dmg, with more x equallying more y. Couple of armor upgrades and your doing huge dmg. An ok idea though.

Always having a chance to stun is a bad idea. Especially a 45% chance when your at 15% of your hp. At lvl 6 this would equal a 6 second stun at every 2 swings at 15% hp, thats' a perma stun once you get one off.

Is this a permanent buff? you didn't put a length of time on it at all. Combined with Morbid Frenzy could result in massive dmg boosts to your atk, very touchy on the balance on this one when combined with that.

DarnYak's character names are for the most part original as far as I know, and it's not like coming up with names is that hard.

Back to his skills being bland though, what do you intend to do about that

Innate, Demoralize and possibly Morbid Frenzy are going to be cut, with new ideas. Will probably make teaks to the other abilities to give them a rounded edge.

I admit similarities, nothing more.

I don't see how the name is that important, but I plan to change it anyway so it doesn't matter.

How about relevance to this hero concept rather than whining about petty things. I.E. names, spelling.

Suggestions are still wanted.

Ok story. Didn't the Fel Orc's fight against the Draenei in Outlands? Correct me if I'm wrong.

So how about an instance with a Draenei shaman or something?

You see the name all the time, and it has added importantce if it is that close to a warcraft III guy.

I suggested you replace the skills that aren't really interesting, and overall your hero isn't a tank or a damage dealer

until you add something new to this idea there isn't much else to discuss. Perhaps you should post again when you have some new ideas
