Colossus Wiki/Strategy Guide created

#1 Post by randomd00d »

I just cranked it out. Feel free to edit for formatting, strategy, etc. I made it as a wiki for that purpose.

Hmm, I added bold to the spells listings, kinda hard to see where one started and another ended. Also, I think 2-4 Lvls of Crumble is all you really need, I would rather max Heart of the Mountain than Crumble, but thats my opinion and your post so I'll leave that up to you.

So Armor doesn't reduce Physical Attacks? could have swarn it did, maybe I'm wrong though... :|

Just copying the hero template or BP entry and then filling in the stats would be a far better start and wouldnt require 20 minutes of C&P to fill in the template with your existing stuff.

As most of my post seem to be too harsh for the average reader *cough*:
I appreciate work on the Wiki, especially hero pages and I just wanted to give a hint how future work can be reduced.

If it did, the Inf's AoO wouldn't be anywhere near as strong as it is. You can also see this when chuck pebble, sabotage, or even a big collection of mines is used on a building.

Yak has mentioned maybe changing it, but for now you either take full damage from a "physical" spell, or you are immune to them because you are ethereal.

But - armor does mean you take more dmg from attacks right?

Physical attacks yes, physical spells, no. Just you should also note that a point of armor in Eota is only about half as effective as most other maps.

Dekar...

I'm afraid I am too dumb and/or lazy to figure out basic Wiki formatting, so I wont be using your more complicated template. ;-)

Besides that, it would be nice to see the template in use... i.e. fill in your template with valid data from the Blazing Priest so we know what its supposed to look like.

Plus, the template does not appear to allow for skill data for different ranks of the skill. I like to show rank 1 and 6 (or 1 and 4) to give an idea of the scaling factor.

Plus, I have no idea whatsoever which jpgs to use for the pretty skill icons like you have for the BlazPriest.

And finally, believe me...you are more than welcome to reformat it into your template. I would appreciate the applied expertise!

--------------------------

Armor in EoTa is one third the value of Ladder according to the wiki formulas. So 1 armor = 2% more effective health.

So -19 armor from crumble = 38% effective health supposedly. So that 600 HP dude now has um... 372 HPs. So its equal to doing 238 points of damage to that mob... except you dont get any cash for it, and it doesnt work against magical damage, and the debuff might piddle out before that mob gets kilt.

Hence my reasoning for just tossing a large rock instead of using crumble.

Heart on the other hand is pretty decent, with 39 armor cranking unit health (and hero) by 78% of their base HP value, for a long duration.

------------

Dawn, I despise crumble at the moment and definitely do not recommend it. Heart is much better, as you said. Ill have to double check to make sure I didnt accidently imply otherwise.
Thanks for helping the formatting btw! :-)

Template for normal skills:

TEMPLATE START

===Skill Name [What kind of skill this is: AoE Debuff, Hero Nuke, etc]===
{{Skill
|image=Image, dont worry about this. I will insert them for you in the Wiki, because they needed to be uploaded first.
|hotkey= Hotkey of the skill
|school= What school the skill is: Evocation, Necromancy,...
|effect= Ingame description of the skills tooltip, without the stuff that changes every level: Gravel takes a rock and throws it on his enemys ...
|mana1= Mana Cost of level 1: 250
|effect1= Effect of level one: Deals 250 + 3*STR damage.
|cooldown1= Cooldown on Level 1, Yak may insert that if you ask him nicely.
|mana2= "
|effect2= "
|cooldown2= "
|mana3=
|effect3=
|cooldown3=
|mana4=
|effect4=
|cooldown4=
|mana5=
|effect5=
|cooldown5=
|mana6=
|effect6=
|cooldown6=
}}

Text that could describe when this skill is best used or to give additional informations: As this skill turns the target ethereal , its good to combo it with other skills for increased damage. This skill also damages buildings. Best used when a hero is chasing you.

{{clear}}

TEMPLATE END

Just change the bold things.

Innate and Ultimate are similiar, just copy them from the BP edit page ( If I dont do it myself ).

edit:
done editing it -_-
32 mins of C&P >_>

You da man! That looks really good. Well, except for the "tooltip missing" part. Good idea, as I forgot about cooldown and School for all the spells.

hopefully when I or someone else gets the chance, we can fill in those values.
