EotA-Dota Differences

#1 Post by Soulbourne »

Complete style change, just gonna write differences, let the others choose good or bad...

Difference:

Comps take control of leavers

Multiple maps

3, count em, 3 different races

Wide variety of balanced heros

Multiple spawn points

Ability to rebuild or build new spawn points at destroyed ones

Wider variety of items

Upgradeable items

Heros are semi-customizable

Ability to improve spawn points by build spawn towers at outpost(Yes they are limited)

The (Forget name) who run in, then run out of ex;perience area get left behind, whether melee or ranged, you have to get in the fighting or you fall behind

Not just grab uber hero and slaughter, requires a bit of tactics

Don't lose gold in death

Ok, now tell anything that is different between the two...

Disadvantage of EotA : 50% of their players are unsatisfied by their tiny penises, so they need to diss DotA to feel a bit better.

Yes, dota is shit but it can be fun, so everyone stop it please.

HOLY SHIT IT IS KONNAR!!!!!!!!!

I agree with this, DotA is a fun game and just because EotA is better is no reason to flame the fuck out of it. Just as EotA is better in some ways DotA is better in others.

Considering everything you think is positive or negative is completely opinionated, this thread fails as much as Seig_2.

Jamn you just don't understand, apparently not only I am wrong but also the game itself is also wrong. Seig_2 says so without adding any additional information other than that he is right, so therefor he must be right, and in turn we are wrong.

That actually made me laugh. That's amazing...

Anyways, I'm going to try the impossible here.

Seig_2! "One-hitting" something means to kill it in one hit, right? Those are the words used. So, to one hit something, you would have to do enough damage to kill it in one hit. But the type of spell that Frost Spire IS, is damage per second. So you would have to have intelligence to kill the unit with ONE BLAST from Frost Spire, not over time. Therefore, you are wrong by the definition of the spell and the terms used.

One cast is a different matter, but here you are going to have to back off.

I simply meant one use of FS to one shot, I know it doesn't "one shot". One use of FS does kill the spawns, that was my whole point. I meant one cast and everyone knew that, they just thought it would be fun to flame. One cast, one shot, whatever, the point was I could, and did, "one cast" creeps by lvl 30 with FS. In the future Ill try to use the "correct" terms to prevent pointless flaming. didn't realize the use of one different word meant the world to you guys, sorry. :o

What you fail to realize is that one dispel gets rid of your frost spire meaning you lose mana, and you get no money.

What kind of games do you play in that there is no heroes opposing you?

Umm...normal Eota, usually SWP, and there isn't always heros on the same path as you, FS has a decent cooldown, and not every hero has a dispell or chooses to use it.
Also, a majority of my games are single player becuase my internet isnt fast enough. The AI in singles isn't great so you can get away with most anything.

So you're making theories on multiplayer games based on your experience in single player, against AI bots? That seems pretty stupid, to be honest. As you said, "You can get away with most anything" in SP. Do you think that anyone would let you keep FS up for that long online?
"L4D2 promises to set a new benchmark for co-op games. . ." Like L4D promised to hand us new maps, survivors, and zombies? We've seen how that works.

No, I was proving theories on SP games and wasn't talking about MP in the first place, thats why I said it.

Obvious, because most of your strategies (if not all) are easily countered by any halfway decent EotA player. Probably first time players, too.
