Overall impression of heros?

#1 Post by DarkNemesis »

I just got done playing Reqiuem (as well as playing Treant the other day) and have come under the impression: are the old still the best? Don't get me wrong, some of the newer heros are actually my favorites: Roth (ok maybe not, he go nerfed pretty bad), Garg, etc. But for some reason, old imo still have it....

Thoughts?

I guess a bigger question would be do you think Yak is taking EotA in the right direction, hero wise? If not, what should be changed? What do you like/dislike about the newer--even older--heros?

Hmm, maybe I'll add a poll just for kicks...

So let's hear some feedback.

Where is the "The newer heroes are more fun to play" option?

Should have included that when you have an option with them being bad.

Im not going to vote until there is "Most heroes are good but some need a rework" option.

Anything UD or past for "new" or "newer" heros.

Anything before UD for "old" or "older" I guess...

They are sort of the marker here.

Uhm, you did read over the vote options, right?

If that's the case, you should already know what to put.

I'd say that the division of good and horrible heroes isn't defined by new and old.

There are some heroes in all the factions that I hate playing. There are also some that I love =p

As far as innovation and novelty goes, I'd have to give that aspect to the Undead, as they are all newer and I'd assume Yak is less limited in his triggering abilities than he was when he made, say, the Blazing Priest.

I feel like some of my old previous favorites need some fancying up. Arboreal Crusader just isn't as exciting as she once was.

Something I've been thinking about, but I want to add a few more heroes before going back.

And this adds to the notion that you are a closet homosexual.

To be on topic, I think that some heroes are good and others are bad, but they are not separated by how old/new they are.

Going off on a SB tangent here, does anyone invest into Decoy heavily? I know my friend does (since he thinks soul strike is garbage). But I've found that maxing incin (of course) with 4-5 into soul (talents of course!), 2 into decoy, and 1-2 into mend to be quite effective on Reqiuem. Ult I usually forgo unless i've got extra to spend later game.

Build is mainly int-focused, with a heavy armor substitute. Knight's is wonderful on SB. Skip the int robe for the skill orb. the 25% run speed from the agi is great for hunting weak heros with incin...

Later I may pick up a couple of Warrior's or something with int, even crystal staff now and then. Just my 2 cents.

I don't play Soul Binder a lot, and I'm not exactly a pro. But I generally only get 1 point in decoy, and that's to play with when I'm healing or similar.
