Is it just a rework with new theme ( similiar to the season change in older versions with rather small terrain changes ) or a complete new map?

Sounds like it will become a bit like Gloom.

It'll probably more or less exactly the same, just improved in fluidity and less mountainous. IF Yak actually does decide to change it in the end, anyways. Still, nice scandalous find there Dekar.
I've been told that, with major surgery, I can become a preeetty good combination doorstep and draft excluder.

I added a small wiki page for Felpine, not much, but still there. I'm thinking it may be in a sort of demonic setting, Fel(felhounds, feldemons ect)pine(Maybe a demonic forest of some type?)

  I might ask, why there has to be a replacement at all? There's still a good remainder on the lower right region of the map to fill, especially if it's only two lanes.

Uhg, perhaps this entire game should be built into a stand alone exe.. At least then we could get a lot more without losing!

Yak will not do that because it would require far more work to update 4+ maps than a single one.

New Heroes

So, UD getting a good AoE hero (sry Validus)

Maybe the infamous 4th race? Fel Orcs? possibilities :D

We know this is a Fel Orc themed map, wich means Fel Orc units/spawns/items, so why not Heroes too? This isnt necessarily just PC heroes too, Fel Orc Enchantress merc hero?

Btw I think this will kinda help since I know lots of people cling to Stormwail for Eota (wich is fine since 5 lanes is the ebst IMO) Forcing people to use other maps will make them play Kedge/GLoom/Candle/Felpine

This has the added bonus of helping balance those maps even further.

However, I really dont want Stormwail to be removed completly, maybe just un-selectable for a version?

Mind you this does bring the new possibility of Yak regularly cycling maps, maybe every (other?) version or something. Lots of work though

All normal spawn towers will be removed and instead replaced by Fel Orc spawn towers. In order to build one of these you have to free a Fel Orc General from his imprisonment in the woods and bring him back to your side. Generals will not go easy and it is advised that you bring arcane wagons to hold them for their journey. Once capturing a General you will be able to build his specific spawn tower once every 10 minutes. The more generals you have the harder they will be to contain, so make sure to watch them closely before they wreck havoc in your base!

Very interesting idea, but is it necessary to replace Stormwail with it? I suppose if people miss the map they can just play older versions, but still...

Dont forget a warcraft map offers limited space. I guess Yak just needs the space Stormwail uses up. Otherwise he would have to split EotA:Twilight into multiple maps.

Didn't Yak post an announcement to this effect? Felpine isn't replacing Stormwail. It was a joke to see if you guys pay any attention. ToX wrote that up for the Wiki. I swear he made a thread exactly for this...

I know this thread is uber old. But I'm curious.

We demand your status on Fel Grove, DarnYak!

Plus, sense you just added the Fel Orcs, I think me dredging up this topic is vindicated. :)

Oh btw, why do you need to replace Stormwail? How about Candle?
