Re: Horrible?
Now that it's been put in context, with the apparent involvement of Nathan Fillion and Neil Patrick Harris (and that sounds like Harris singing), I have to support both!

Silly Discombobulator, the issue arises from an excess of thought, not a dearth.Discombobulator wrote:Oh come on, think before you post.

Re: Discombobulator says nobody likes me!
I don't know about everybody, but I hear nobody is a pretty reasonable guy. I just don't know if he likes me.
On a completely unrelated note, assuming someone in charge hasn't edited the displayed number of topics to be 1337, this is the 1337th topic. That's kind of awesome.

Re: Disney buys Marvel Entertainment
What the hell are you guys talking about, Spider Man was horrible. Doesn't anyone notice how they screwed up our childhood comics/shows. Now they have feelings and cry and wish they didn't had those powers. Pretty much the only Marvel movies that were close to being good were Iron Man and Blade. So...

Re: Disney buys Marvel Entertainment
IMDB seems to agree with your assessment. That is, excluding your gross exaggeration, of course. As for me, all I have for most of those movies is a vague impression that I did not go away from them feeling let down. Is this even on-topic? Edited because I had "of course" right next to &qu...

Re: Disney buys Marvel Entertainment
One movie stands out, in that I can clearly remember most of it, and found it to be quite good. That's X-Men Origins: Wolverine. Other movies that I think I enjoyed at the time, but can't really remember well enough to judge now: The three Spidermans, especially the first one The Incredible Hulk (th...

Re: Mod Suggestions
I didn't mean to suggest you were professionals. I've never been on a forum where it was moderated by professionals. I was suggesting that it would be more... *fishes for another word*... appropriate, I guess, to deal with it privately. I didn't realize there were so few active people on here. No wo...

Welcome to the EotA forums: 1. Remember that we're all humans here: You don't have to be friends with or even like everybody, but you must treat others with respect. It's ok to disagree with someone, and it's ok to make your disagreement known, but don't be unnecessarily harsh or cruel. Please enjoy...

Alright, so I had exactly two people in mind when I posted number 3. Now that I look around, though, you actually make a lot of relevant posts, Disc. That being said, I still think you should be warned every time you troll, and be banned should you fail to heed the warnings. Which would have happene...
Re: Marriage
Besides the obvious issues with the government interfering in your personal life, let's look at how that's working out. It's commonly quoted that the divorce rate is approximately 50%. Happy stable little families? Yeah, maybe the other half. Of course, there's no guarantee that half is all that hap...

Re: Disney buys Marvel Entertainment
Oh my, a crossover game between Disney and Marvel, now that would be... kind of creepy.
You're of the opinion that all Marvel movies are shitty? I don't agree.
As for what Disney will do with Marvel, I imagine they'll retain it as it's own entity; because, seriously, you cannot mix Marvel and Disney.

I have a lot of negative opinions about your personality, DN, but I don't actually hate you. My hate is reserved for those who display conscious and unwarranted malice towards others. To add to 7, there's a few reasons why it should be privately dealt with. In direct response to what you said, moder...

I am not defending you. I am criticizing Luft. It is my belief that moderators should act in an unbiased manner, regardless of their feelings towards an individual. Whatever my opinion of you, I still think you should be treated fairly by the moderators.

That would be number 3. Thanks for providing an excellent example. Oh, and that's a good example of 2, too.
I'd answer your question, but since you're simply trolling, I'll ignore it.

Re: Mod Suggestions
Oh, a thread where I can criticize the moderators? Where to begin... 1. Moderators were directly involved in derailing my Marriage thread. Aren't they supposed to be the ones keeping things on topic? Reaper corrected, but the point still stands. 2. Why do people get away with having blatantly offens...

Re: Marriage
I believe that, technically speaking, starting a sentence with "too" is proper grammar. However, it definitely gives a bad impression. And now on topic. . .Are we talking about marriage, or the wedding celebration? I'm talking about everything about marriage: wedding celebration or private...
Marriage
So, I've been thinking for the past week or so... what is the purpose of getting married? What's the difference between: 1. two people committing to each other to live the rest of their lives together and, 2. two people committing to live the rest of their lives together in front of a bunch of peopl...
