Re: base concept for a hero
Eh. I could see him potentially being overpowered or underpowered, depending on the situation. For instance, if the Undead are around, there's some blight, but all of it is around their bases. Otherwise, there is no blight whatsoever. Also, given the number of tiles in EotA, it would be somewhat dif...

Re: Clarity and Salves
IF the HoT wasn't dispelled by taking damage, you have a 40 gold, slightly-more-foresight-required uber potion. I guess I'm kinda curious why I wouldn't be running them all the time, assuming I can kill 2 melee mobs in the time it takes for the HoT to wear off. The problem with running them all the ...

Re: Clarity and Salves
It's not too terribly hard to not get hit by creeps. If you do, it's what, 40g that was spent in a learning experience. Annoying, yes, but again, just play a little more cautiously while effected by the HoT.

-s is wrong in other places as well. I'll see if I can find them, and if it's only displaying the modifier rather than the full value.

-s problems
Has anyone noticed problems with the way -s is working? I'll explain what I mean. When Mastery of Flame is level 1, Neph's Blastwave says it deals 32 + 0.6*Int damage. Given that his initial int is 15, it should be 32 + 0.6(15), or 32. And yet, when you use -s, it reports the damage of Blastwave as ...
Re: Marriage and... moderators, apparently
By that token, unmarried couples with children should get the same breaks. Again, I don't see why marriage should factor into it at all. I can agree with that. By the logic I put up there, anyone with children, be they single, unmarried, or married, should get a break. I'm fairly sure that single p...

Why not just choose to live together for as long as you continue ...

Also, I find it slightly funny that contemporary feminists are complaining about having less rights Okay, first off, stop it with that "Too, ..." stuff. It's bad grammar, replace it with the word 'also'. Edited in for grammar nazi-ism. (And didn't you say you were going for a journalism m...
Re: Any good?
Then you're keeping track of the actual poll results in your head. Now, if you want to see which ones have more attention drawn to them, this is the right poll to have up. But if you want to know which one people actually think is the best, you have to go down and read the thread, pretty much making...

I'll hold back and even give 'em a hint or two. "Hey, man, better check out that scroll in your inventory!" or "Grab a Dust of Appearance, you'll see that assassin coming a mile away when you use it." 95% of that is replied to with a variation of "fuck off!" or "do...

Re: Game of the year potential!
Damn, I don't see as to how any game could compete with that.
But it CAN be improved: Involve some physics, like when a forklift with a load on it stops moving, when it was moving with the load in front of it.
Almost perfect, but not quite.

Dekar, while that does provide some proof, I question some of it. I'm reading 'people who reported it VERY DIFFICULT' . . .well, that means different things for different people. Some of the other issues I'm gonna chalk up to the way we teach our doctors.(Not gonna go into that unless asked.) And he...

Re: Make artefacts drop on death
Provide 5 games where this happened then. Otherwise, you may want to stop making claims that don't exist. He's not making a claim, he's saying that if Yak implemented his idea, it would make artifact whores more of a target, since they can drop one of the artifacts they're holding. Thinking hypothe...

Re: More hero models
Issue with making a hero out of half of those models is that they don't have enough animations. You'd probably want a bash, cast, move, attack maybe another cast or special, an actual death anim. . .
Most of those are unit models, which don't have the Hero fade-and-rise thing.

Re: Naxztek the Dimensional Stalker
I like quite a bit. Sounds very nasty when paired with someone who can slow. I am a little confused about the innate, though, same as Alien. Is it that they lose that % move speed and atk dmg every so often, and he gains it, or is it that he gains it based on the number of units in the AoE, or what?

Re: [Fel Orcs] Blood Captain
I think maybe he was confused on what the 12-16 seconds applied to. He probably thought only to the buff, and not to the debuff, though it seemed to me that they were linked from the start. Correct. When I read that, I thought that the 12-16 seconds was for the active only, and the stat loss was lo...

Re: [Fel Orcs] Blood Captain
Should have added more to this. Basically, its a one deal, uber heavy hit. The slow effect lingers for 3-6 seconds prolly. The DOT is....self-explanatory. I'm not asking about the DoT. Nor any slow effect, which I don't see much of, unless you're talking about the Agi loss, in which case, a straigh...

Re: [Fel Orcs] Blood Captain
Okay. . . Innate: Correct me if I'm wrong, but doesn't Deathblow reduce attack damage of nearby units by 50%? Doubling that makes them useless for awhile. I'm also going to go ahead and look at AP here, as the Orcs only have 1 other hero to compare it to. Doubling things like Devouring Plague, Abber...

He's pretty good as is. Solo, maybe not, although he can romp low- and middle-HP heroes with Ion Surge. Use that, Polarize, Streak in, then start smacking them for 2-300 damage a hit, given a single stat item (Orb of Skill). At least make enemy hero back off, if not killing them As for working with ...

Re: 1.12c5 Crash Logs
Just a thought here, but I know that the random chance thing in a couple areas is borked -- Bane's Dragonfear, for instance. Perhaps the other heroes who have a chance-based spell -- or variable damage in the spell -- could be causing a leak? At the very least, something's going wrong in those calcu...
