Yes, by saying that, you are trolling.

Re: Vote

Well, now that I understand the intellectual level I am dealing with, let me put it in a way that you can process: 1. The original post was simply a silly post made out of boredom. 2. The comment that you have not sailed around the world was made as a comparison to your statement that I had never li...

Re: Second American Revolution

I don't know about other countries, but most of the United States debt is to ourselves (privately owned banks, for example). It would seem likely for other countries, though. After all, if England owes Germany money and Germany owes England money... well, that's an easy fix, isn't it?

Re: Second American Revolution

Yes, it is, so try it. What I am saying is that the Republicans don't deserve it, either. That is all I was getting at. I don't really care what you thought I was implying. I wasn't. Edit: Come to think of it, I suppose it's possible you're saying some third party could gain the majority. It was suc...

Re: Second American Revolution

I said "you make it sound..." because you did. You said the Democrats are going to lose their majority, as though the Republicans have done something worthy of gaining it. If neither the Republicans or Democrats can get it right, then shouldn't we get rid of both? That's what I see as bein...

Re: Second American Revolution

A pretty interesting read. If public sentiment for Obama's plan and Obama himself continues to wane then the democrats may find their majorities in Congress/House of Rep. overthrown come 2010. They'll have to do some major changes and quit ignoring the growing voice of many Americans if they want t...

Re: Religion: The best of the best of the best sir!

I'd like to point out that Americans are having ever less say over what America does. That, and intelligent Americans don't make up the majority of decision makers/voters. Though, I wonder if that's any different in any other country. P.S. This post had nothing to do with religion, do not misconstru...

Re: Religion: The best of the best of the best sir!

A person's faith is what drives them and spearheads their actions. So yes, in a sense. His faith? His faith in what? Did he sacrifice 40 million people to his non-existent god? Perhaps it was written in his non-existent holy book that certain people should die? Maybe you believe that all atheists a...

Over 2,000? Aren't you cutting that a bit short?

To Aegir: I thought the same about Hinduism, but Luft gave quite a few examples earlier in the thread of their brutality.

Re: Evolution

What faith did I belittle? If you're talking about believing something that's been scientifically proven to be untrue, well, news for you, I'd belittle your belief if you thought the world was flat, too. It has nothing to do with religion, it has to do with proven facts. You gave two examples of goo...

Re: Evolution

So, the pope is only play-acting? A true Christian who is able to accept reality over the writings in a book which contradict reality assumes that his book is not meant to be a literal interpretation. Instead, it is full of allegories, stories which teach a lesson, but are not real. The ignorant one...
