Re: Highest level ever seen in a legitimate game?
40-50 is what I'm used to seeing. I've seen some get to 60s in the old-school IHs but recently, I don't really see people break 40 before a game ends.

Re: Small Stormwail Change
I would add destructable rocks (with a decently high HP, too) rather than leaving it wide open. My problem with it is that it leads directly into the gold mine... which is a ridiculously easy way to get cash quickly and simultaneously hurt the cash flow of the other team. 50 gold per worker is a bi...

My guess is that he'll remove the location of the easter eggs and remove the code for the save codes, at the very least.Zdig25 wrote:Slightly modified in what way if i may ask?

Re: Any Takers?
Burning Priest is still kinda the worst hero IMO That you are saying that proves, to me, that you haven't figured out how to use him properly. He starts out weak but gets good quickly. tbh i never do give him a good chance, it's just that he only has about 2 stat-based spells (duration for skels, a...

Seriously. Especially when you just spent 3 years in law school and are working your ass off to pass the bar. Law > Game industry, by far.Discombobulator wrote:Why the hell would someone want to work in the game industry? The pay is low and the deadlines are horrible.

So when does the next version of Maze come out? Funny that you should ask. There may be surprise when I do testing of the final verison of Twilight, which i'm tenatively planning for the 26th. DarnYak Darn you! That's when I'm gonna be out of town :( Long time no see, Ocean. And the others around t...

Re: No Cross Realm Support! WTF?
Blizzard is screwing up with this game badly... and not just in a way that will turn off their hardcore fans, but in ways that really piss off normal people. No Tournaments on Bnet for melee? Screwed up map publishing? Making you know the RealID to friend someone? No analogue of clans? It's just ver...

Almost every single on of you that posted in this thread have repeatedly broken the rules over the years. You all sound like a bunch of whiny pms'ing school girls really. If you would like, I can start modding this shit out of this forum, but it will end up becoming completely inactive because 1 po...

Re: Dread Shaman...
Based on the last time I played Shaman, which was admittedly a long time ago, here's my thoughts: Shared Pain is a gigantic pain in the ass to anyone without a dispel because it can destroy them if they're stupid about it Mass Regen is a wonderful, wonderful spell for supporting both spawns and othe...

Re: Capture Mode?
Capture mode is fun, I'd like to see more work put into it- however, balance regular EotA first! I agree with this. I'm going to have to play a Capture Mode game with someone sometime soon, because it is a lot of fun, but ultimately, capture mode is an obscure mode that shouldn't be the major focus...

Re: Open rant at the Mods
It's not just DarkNemesis, it's people who respond to him by trolling. Honestly, this is absurd. I don't sit in Clan EotA and discuss the map all the time, so the forums are the best place for me to read what people are saying and respond intelligently. I'm sick of seeing every thread devolve becaus...

Re: New Obelisk Locations
I absolutely hate them. In every game which I've played, they've been a huge factor. They're hard to take down without some skilled players, and skilled players can easily defend them for enough of the game to make a huge difference. It's a test of your starting hero's ability to either TP or go fas...

Re: World Editor Question(s)
That's a bit over my head at this point I think. What language is that in? Or is it exclusive to World Editor? It'd be nice to learn it if it'd make this whole thing easier. It's called JASS, and it's a WC3-only script. Go to wc3campaigns.net and find some tutorials for it there. Or jass.sourceforg...

WC3 Patch 1.23b
EotAers need to make sure the map doesn't break with all the new JASS changes being made (H2I being the most notable one). I doubt EotA is a "popular" map (aka DotA), so I'm sure that Yak hasn't actually been given help or warning like IceFrog probably was. (Nobody in TDG or on WC3C was ei...
