Re: Bitch thread
Yak seems to think there is something wrong with him, as he stated BP is scheduled to get a revamp, though I don't know when. My thoughts: Yes, BP is the best seiger, but really, what can he do beyond that? He lacks tanking potential (Kindle and FOTD don't make the cut imo), he's bad even at fightin...

Re: Bitch thread
I am looking forward to seeing a revamp'd BP. I miss playing him. He can actually be quite fun, though his roles are hugely limited atm, one of the reasons I haven't played him in a while. So yes, I am bitching here. PLEASE FIX BP! BP FOR PRESIDENT! Oh yes..... AND GET D OUT! All the c versions are ...

Re: Taunting Treant Wall
Hybrid tanks/AoE casters are actually quite effective. There is the classic str-based DW, but I have found a similar approach on Defiler to be deadly as well. Your spells my not hit as hard, but damn, hand out a Nobel prize for someone who can manage to kill you. That being said, most Int-ba...

Re: Taunting Treant Wall
A few points: A) The Elder Treant is NOT bad at killing enemy heros alone. I don't know how you play him, but I generally stack attack dmg, and this combined with a near 6 sec stun (entangle), means you can dish out a hell of alot of dmg. B) No, not every hero can tank with a little added armor. My ...

Re: Taunting Treant Wall
This is what I meant to say I guess. Not use to the term "crowd control". Though you have to admit, in many ways, that's what a tank does. I suppose the two can overlap?but its because thats crowd control and not tanking.
With some armor, I would say Treant can tank quite well.

Re: Lich in general...
Waste? How so? Two of his abilities are direct dmg-based. And even without added int, Rend and altars are still very formidable.
Check with me later in the fall, Lanthis, I'll play a DPS Lich online and show ya how awesome he can be!

Re: Characters you do not play/do not like playing as?
Meh, for a str-based tank, Ember is one of the quicker heroes. Sure, you've got Rue, Bane as an exception, but I know Alex is slow (11 base agil?)and obviously GT (9 base agil)and Gravel (10 base agil).

Re: Taunting Treant Wall
ESD? Treant is really good even alone, due to his numerous tanking abilities, which are often overlooked. I still would like to test out a straight, charge-in tank Fugly one of these days, maxing rebirth and treants prolly. I don't get how Treant is even moderately ineffective alone. Now Emberwraith...

Re: Defiler OP
An int build shammy is a huge waste imo. Much, much, better to go dmg.
And I don't even bother with bouncing attack, the crystal is better spent elsewhere.
Sorry for the derailment.

Re: martyr tweaks
WHAT?!I never get ion surge
Do you go mass siege/support then? I really can't think of any other playstyle.
Martyr needs some work though, Innate could be added with another spell and, as some have said, he could use some more independent-focused potential.

Like the concepts. We really do need another shaman-type hero. A must have for the Orc faction. Nuff said.

Re: Taunting Treant Wall
Between Treant's roots, heal (innate), rejuv, and pixies, not sure if there is such a thing as "rape", he can be very hard to take out.
I wonder though, could the tree wall be alot of AoE dmg against pushes if you somehow managed to kill them?

Re: 1.12c6 Changes
My wish list: Tyrant's freeze shards are way too much, either that or the mana regained is too little, the health part is fine. Maybe just reduce the talent cost? Gravel's Animation OP. Martyr's Polar may need a high int modifier, or better yet, agil. Agree with Coke about plague/pestil. Increase on...

Re: Lich in general...
Well, that playstyle was suppose to be a psuedo-tank/DPS hero, lol  Don't worry, its NOT my standard build, just some of my crazy experiments. Still, with Lich's ult and altars, it really isn't that bad of and idea for certain instances. It is rather funny running around with 3k hits points, ye...

Re: Second American Revolution
A pretty interesting read. If public sentiment for Obama's plan and Obama himself continues to wane then the democrats may find their majorities in Congress/House of Rep. overthrown come 2010. They'll have to do some major changes and quit ignoring the growing voice of many Americans if they want t...
