I don't know how you play him, but I generally stack attack dmg, and this combined with a near 6 sec stun (entangle), means you can dish out a hell of alot of dmg. With some armor, I would say Treant can tank quite well.

Waste? How so? Two of his abilities are direct dmg-based. And even without added int, Rend and altars are still very formidable.

Meh, for a str-based tank, Ember is one of the quicker heroes. Sure, you've got Rue, Bane as an exception, but I know Alex is slow (11 base agil?)and obviously GT (9 base agil)and Gravel (10 base agil).

An int build shammy is a huge waste imo. Much, much, better to go dmg.
