I dislike this idea. Random drops are not cool. My main example? Some talents have a odd cost (i.e not multiple of 10) so lest say Bob's team gets 1 PK and he finds some crystals from spawns. Bam he gets Uber Talent X. How is that fair? It's not its completely random.

If your selling your starting ob your wrong. Its ok though, I think everyone goes through a phase like that playing Eota. True skellies and slimes take a while to pop however, if you've built gens you know that they 1. take a long ass time to build and 2. the different ones are limited by time. Here...

No hero is crystal dependent. Not a single one.

I agree that if can lead to some pretty big imbalances if no one goes after them with summons. Ob towers are pretty fragile, anyone with a Wretched Skull or a bottle of slime should manage it easily.

Just a FYI, he isn't that slow. He's faster then Scarab who is roughly the same speed as Bane/Grav/RK/Garg.

The Pyroclasm Talent for Ember dosen't work. Proof: Stunned as I being casting spell = no damage, and it still channels the same length as un-talented. Personally I find the TC the most boring hero, followed by Garg/Harpy (not a fan of the flying heroes, playing them that is, no beef otherise)

Most fun are probably Fugly, RK, and most UD heroes (probably due to the newness of them, though Incarnate is great), New DS is fun aswell.

Rune Shell is strong, however, its basicly a 100% defensive spell. You also have to look at the big picture, RK is slow as fuck which is basicly why he has Rune Shell, or else he would be a sitting target, try it one game. yes I realize that Rune SHell is basicly a needed skill for this hero, howeve...

Its a interesting Idea, but I think it would be too harsh, no matter how "soft" it would be, to flying heroes, and theres only 2 of em... so I still really dont find it that big of a problem :p

Just here to forward my theory, that Yak is actually a developper on WoW.

A couple points.

1. A lot of ideas in Eota are in WoW, and have been in Eota first, so hmmm.... (ex: Geyser)

2. Yak is gone on "RL" stuff, as they announce a new WoW Xpac, dunno its a coincidence...?
