Being so close to the base, it'd seem to me that the defenders more than the attackers would receive bonuses from the fountain, making those lanes even easier to defend and even more difficult for the offensive team to hold the given obelisk.

Might be an idea to also take into account what players you're up against, so people playing against those with better stats could get more experience, if that's how the ladder works.

I'm not sure if this still applies, but I was under the impression that Spawn Tower units weren't supposed to give experience, yet Red Drakes provide it.
