Re: Leak Tracking
I recently replaced my old 770 graphics card with a 1070 ti. I played 6 games without getting any errors until getting a fatal error on the 7th.

Re: Leak Tracking
I've only been playing on Stormwail Peak, so that might have something to do with it. I'll start keeping track of all the heroes used. 4 completed games and 5 fatal errors. The fatal error occurs late in the game. Completed game heroes: Prince Rue, Reuben Stonerage, Felisa Meadowsong, Bhekar Ro, Pea...

Re: Leak Tracking
I've been getting fatal errors (memory cannot be read), and I think Infiltrator's mines might be the reason. I'm only guessing that is the reason based on 2 games and wondering how those mines are stored in memory. I've been playing the newest version: EotA_Twilight_NY_8b2. Edit: 3rd game got fatal ...

Re: Problem with bot
I think Capture mode is an excellent idea, which I hope to see in Eota2. I also like the option to select from several maps within a single map. I wonder if that can be done in Starcraft 2.

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.16a Download
I also noticed some time ago that in Stormwail Peak, Red would lose the bottom base long before Blue would lose their top base. Actually, I'm not sure if Blue loses its top base. Edit: Overall, I like the moontear changes because of the increased damage taken along with the reduced penalty from dying.

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.16a Download
Reminder: Divine Wizard's Displacement Field can sometimes remove heroes from the game. So far I've only seen the AI do it as recent as 1.16.

Re: Crowdsourcing balance game
Should I take talents into consideration? I think it would be easier for me to rate heroes based on how overpowered I think they are.

Re: Need feedback on balancing Str heroes vs the rest
I had to get my computer fixed, so I wasn't able to reply last week. I like the method for option 2 since it is the simpler solution and doesn't change as many variables. Option 2 addresses the survivability of strength heroes, but other things might need to be fine-tuned.

Re: Need feedback on balancing Str heroes vs the rest
I'll start by thinking about certain questions: Does it take too long to kill strength heroes? Do other heroes die too quickly compared to strength heroes? How does strength hero's ability dps compare to other heroes' ability dps? Tanks and support should have lower dps than normal. I'll need to thi...

Re: Damage Balance Analysis
Another perspective of Balance Ratio would be BR = (Health * DPS)/(Avg. Health * Avg. DPS), which means that a hero with average health and average dps would have a BR of 1. This simply adjusts the original BR by a scale factor and changes the context to something that is not purely DPS nor Health b...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15b4 Download
Ah you're right, Rune Knight doesn't have a stun or root. I think his shield can be strong enough to compare with a healer, and the armor reduction from imbued equipment can lead to high physical dps, but I guess that can also fall under support. Technically, it also depends on items and skills chos...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15b4 Download
Most strength heroes seem overpowered. Colossus, Sorrow Liege, Elder Trent, Acid Reaver, Rune Knight, Glacial Tyrant, Blackguard and Behemoth are the ones I've tested so far. They can function as tanks, support, healers (sometimes indirectly through abilities like shields or damage transfer), dps, a...

Re: Damage Balance Analysis
I believe an important variable should be considered for hero balancing: income. This is similar to the jungler or pusher classification. Even though allies may share gold, I think a team’s overall income can have a significant outcome in the game. Also, an increase in income might indicate an incre...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15a2 Download
I think it would be cool to have a "Gem of True Sight" type item in the game that doesn't fully reveal invisible units but, instead, reveals a translucent portrait from a more limited distance. I guess that might be hard to code and too much trouble. That wouldn't really help, in the game...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15a2 Download
I agree with nerfing AoO, but I think using damage caps is the less popular solution in my opinion. I think it would be cool to have a "Gem of True Sight" type item in the game that doesn't fully reveal invisible units but, instead, reveals a translucent portrait from a more limited distan...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15 Download
I finally got around to doing the 2nd replay but could only play against AI. This time I chose Candleburg and Draft Picked for kindle and banner with all Insane AI. The enemy team gains an early advantage with some hero kills, and Icespinner continues to taunt me with its peculiar inventory selectio...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15 Download
Yes, I’m optimizing dps rather than damage alone, and ultimately dps is what matters. I agree that doing large bursts of damage is more helpful for pks under the condition that not much dps is lost. In the long run, agility items will be more valuable than damage or int items and don’t forget the bo...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15 Download
Here is one of the first few tests I've done on EotA version 1.14 g6 (pre-nerf). The first set of objectives I have planned are to determine what difficulty of AI best represents a human player (since my internet sucks too much to play online) and to determine gold and level as a function of time (a...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15 Download
Okay, so before I do any testing, I need to figure out exactly what you intended to nerf. Was Zen Archery nerfed from 100% to 50% int because High Oracle's auto-attack was too high? Or was it because mindstab's damage was too high and auto-attack wouldn't suffer as much when focusing mostly on obtai...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15 Download
Hmm...around 200 damage auto attacks and 900 damage mindspikes around level 20. I'll go ahead and do a lot more testing to see if this is true and save replay this time.

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.15 Download
In my opinion, High Oracle's attack using Zen Archery level 6 ( 100% Int converted to damage and 100% mana) felt weak, especially when compared to Mystic Swashbuckler. That's why I suggested a "True Strike" item to help compensate for the low damage compared to many other heroes' abilities...

Re: EotA: Twilight 1.14h Download
Bane's Dragonfear appears to stun heroes and fear units (100% for me) much more easily than indicated or needed. There appears to be no need to acquire the talented Dragon Blood. Even if the high % stun/fear is intended, I think Bane has too many ways to stun or incapacitate heroes. He seems to be a...
